Mirabello Hotel

A basic hotel - Clean , friendly, great location for town centre and port .

Location is pretty central - easily accessible to the centre, bus station, and touristy sites. Great service from reception as well. However, comfort is pretty poor as the toilet in the room assigned to me is pretty small, the sink is very low and small, so I had to bend low to use it - I am 5'5.

Excellent hotel. Clean and very central, only few minutes walk to main area. Staff and reception were excellent. Always happy to help and friendly. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again. Overall 10/10.

We arrived late at night and the warm, friendly and efficient check-in was much appreciated. The room was excellent in every way. The location was great. Highly recommend.

This family owned hotel is incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, highly recommend this hotel when in Heraklion!

We had a quick night in Heraklion before catching the ferry to Santorini. The Mirabello was a convenient and affordable place to stay the night. Loved the bustling little restaurant right across the street. A short walk to the shopping area and a little bit further to the marina and fort. Just a 5 minute, 5 euro cab ride to the port in the morning that our hotel kindly arranged for us.

Pretty central location but at the time of writing, there was a building right next door that had been recently been closed off, and guarded 24/7 by multiple police officers. When asked by the front desk, they stated that there used to be « anarchists » in the building. They will probably tear down that building soon but We did initially feel unsafe the only night we were there. Staff was nice, they accommodated by moving us from the first to third floor. Room was tiny but clean.

The water pressure is a little weak but other than that this was a really nice stopover in town on my way on and off the island. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and I really liked being able to sit on the roof terrace and drink my coffee with a view of the sea in the morning.
