I spent a few days in Montalcino, where I wanted to work on my training materials in peace and quiet, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, culture, and cuisine. But on the very day I arrived, I had to deal with a few ugly professional setbacks… The wonderful team at Dei Capitani did everything they could to help me get past them. And so, before long, the clouds had cleared. The hotel itself is lovely, and the breakfast terrace overlooking the Val d'Orcia is a real gem. Will stay again.... Thanks for everything!

We spent one night at Capitani during a Tuscany cycling tour . What a fantastic place. The best views over the Sienese landscape, great pool, walking distance to the centrum. 100% recommended.

Lovely hotel with stunning views. Breakfast was great and the staff were great too. Perfect location for exploring a lovely town with nice shops and restaurants. 2 things to note but not negative!! Do not follow google maps if coming from Sienna and they send you up a farm track, turn back to the main road or you will regret as we did!! Secondly avoid the split level room unless you’re ok with steep stairs. We had to change and the staff could not have been more understanding!!

The location on the outskirts of old town meant great views and fairly quiet...apart from fellow guests. Lovely terrace, bar and pool.

The bed was a bit old and uncomfortable...might be time to upgrade.
