Hotel & Spa Castillo de Peñíscola

A szálloda elhelyezkedése, kialakítása, tisztasága kiemelkedő volt A személyzet nem túl kedves, a recepciót kivéve senki sem beszél egy szót sem angolul. A bárban nincsenek koktélok, csak a sky bárban, de az csak korlátozott napokon van nyitva. Az ott készült 14€ -s koktélok szinte ihatatlanok, sajnos, a kilátás kicsit kompenzál mindebből. Amire 2 csillagot adnék csak, AZ AZ ÉTELEK VÁLASZTÉKA!!! Minden reggel ugyanaz van és nincs zöldségféle SEMMI. AZ ESTI ÉTELVÁLASZTÉK IS NAGYON VISSZAFOGOTT, méltatlan a szálloda színvonalához.

We really enjoyed our visit. Excellent location just near the beach and a short walk to the old town. We enjoyed the buffet style food in the hotel's restaurant. The room was small but had everything we needed. We were there during the "Moors and Christians" festival - a highlight especially with the fireworks and costumed groups in the parade. The resort and hotel is popular with the Spanish and French is often easier to communicate with as a second language rather than English - although don't be put off if you only speak English. Long day trips to Valencia and Morella were also highlights but an especially long day visiting Valencia. The trains work reliably. Taxi from Benicarlo station to the hotel was 18 euros. A good and memorable trip.

El hotel ha sido renovado recientemente y lo han dejado muy bien. El personal excepcional, la comida muy buena, y con variedad suficiente (muy recomendables las paellas, que las ponen difernetes todos los días en el buffet de la comida), la limpieza sobresaliente, y con una comunicación inmejorable, en primera línea de playa y a 500m de la ciudadela. La piscina no es muy grande pero suficiente para refrescarse, y el agua está tratada de alguna manera porque deja la piel como si no te hubieras bañado. Los peros: el baño es muy estrecho, la cabina de ducha y el inodoro comparten el mismo espacio, y se siente como el WC de un avión. Gente "grande" va a tener problemas tanto en la ducha como en el inodoro. Otro gran "pero" es a los huéspedes alojados en la cuarta planta, ya que en la azotea hay un Lounge Bar, donde en ocasiones el DJ se viene arriba y pone la música excesivamente alta, por lo que hasta la 1:30 o 2 am, es difícil descansar, ya que luego se ponen a recoger las sillas y a arrastrarlas, y lo mismo ocurre a las 8 de la mañana, que se ponen a montar la terraza. Así que en resumen, si quieres descansar, hay que evitar la cuarta planta. Y por último, el café del desayuno, que es de máquina (horrible) o de cápsulas (algo menos horrible). Sugeriría que pongan termos con café de cafetera de verdad. Por lo demás, el hotel fantástico.

I gave this hotel a 5 due to the location, near to all bars, restaurants, shops, the friendly/helpful staff and the fact that it’s new and in excellent condition. Having gold status meant I was eligible for an upgrade if available. I had to ask for it as it wasn’t offered and they gave me a sea-facing room on the first floor with a huge balcony. However, it didn’t feel like an upgrade as the room was very small and I wasn’t able to enjoy the balcony as it offered no privacy. That said, the room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. One point for improvement would be the breakfast which was very limited. On the whole I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Fin de semana perfecto, la única pega fue la atención de los camareros en la terraza de arriba, estuvimos cerca de 20 minutos esperando a ser atendidos y al final optamos por irnos, lo demás genial

La estancia fue genial lo malo el tiempo porque el sábado por la mañana bien y por la tarde nos llovió pero no es culpa del hotel pero hemos estado muy contentos. Hasta el desayuno para mi gusto había muchísimo

A stylish hotel with spartan design, stunning sea views, and a fantastic location right next to the seafront LOCATION: Located in the heart of North beach and with easy access to the castle and all key points of interest DINE + DRINK: Lovely rooftop bar that is not to be missed as well as a chilled-out cafe /lounge near the lobby - both with stunning views of the castle and ocean ROOM: We stayed in Room 301, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Million-dollar views of the sea and castle from the cute balcony attached to the room; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good cosmetics FACILITIES: The biggest letdown was the very pool ‘Gym’ which was nothing more than a tiny room with a couple of worn-out machines! The outdoor pool was decent SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to ANGELA at the front office for enhancing our stay HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free LOW-SPEED Wi-Fi (around 10 Mbps) that works well all over the property. Huge Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment - PRIMARILY IN SPANISH ONLY!
