In the beautiful and twisting city of Antequera, lies this special and twisting Hostal Colon. Reception has open all night – this is the most positive thing to say about this hostal. We arrived in the middle of the night, got checked in and went to our room – the door was already open, which was strange. The bedding had a large yellow plumage and there was black dirt spread over the bedding. Generally it did not seem very clean and even the toilet board was dirty. The room was warm and we therefore looked for the remote control for air conditioning, but after going through the whole room without finding it, we went to the front desk and asked for help - he was looking for approx. 45 minutes throughout the house after the remote control, but gave up and we had to sleep in a very warm room. The hotel is very noisy and it is difficult to sleep with people making noise in the hallways and kids screaming. We found the following to be incorrect from the hotel advertisement: • Multilingual staff (they did not speak and understand English) • In-room climate control / air conditioning (not working without remote control) • Premium bedding + Memory foam mattress (a very old bed) • Outdoor tennis court (we couldn’t find it and no pictures shows it) • Free nearby parking (receptionist told us via Google Translate, that free parking did not exist) As there was no free parking nearby as promised, be found a free parking lot about 1 km away at the street “Calle Virgen del Carmen”.

Un hostal sencillo pero cómodo en el centro de Antequera

es un hostal lleno de cachivaches que tendrían su encanto si el edificio estuviese bien cuidado y conservado. Las camas incomodisimas, la de matrimonio tena somier de muelles y se hundíá a hacia el centro con el consiguiente agobio para el otro. no tenía alfombrilla para la ducha y artículos de aseo escasos. No te ofertan desayuno. el hostal tenia un olor a tabaco insoportable. Lo único positivo es la buena ubicación y que nos cambiaron las toallas.El wifi iba bien.

The main complaint was the shower head was mounted in the middle of the tub making it awkward to use. The shower and toilet were clean, but the shelf over the sink had whiskers on it. The hostal itself was quirky, with antiques and several different levels that were fun to poke around on. Staff was helpful and spoke good English. The bed was very comfortable.

Sehr schönes geräumiges Zimmer mit großem Bad mitten im Stadtzentrum. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Bars + Restaurants sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr guter Service. Einziger Nachteil: WiFi funktioniert nur in der Rezeption - für Zimmerempfang ist das Signal zu schwach. Sonst alles perfekt.

Bien ubicado, habitación grande . Falta de espacio para aparcar.
