Hôtel Bomotel

On our way into Montluçon we missed this hotel, probably because it was behind a rather derelict building. When we drove back, and found it, the entrance was not very obvious. Nevertheless, once you get inside the hotel the reception is warm and helpful, and the rooms are properly equipped, and breakfast was very good. Not exciting, but good value and just fine for an overnight stay. As with almost all smaller French towns, Montluçon has its share of good and interesting restaurants. The people at the hotel will tell you where to find what you are looking for. They have brochures for items of local interest.

It all started with our car breaking down and being towed off the highway. The Roadside Assist put us up in this hotel. To our surprise, it was very upmarket for the price. Clean, very comfortable, and everything provided. But most of all, this is a family-run hotel and the family are wonderful! They couldn't have been more helpful if we'd ask - very kind indeed and this is what made the hotel for us and a very pleasant stay under stressful conditions. We were to leave on the Saturday morning and the owner tried to book a taxi on the Friday night and found that none would be available for the Saturday morning. He said he would drive us the 2km to the bus station (we carry 30kgs each but it was more this time). The Saturday came and his car wouldn't start - first time ever! So, he borrowed his son's car to get us to the bus station in time. We had to catch a bus to southern Italy as the garage wanted €2,000 to repair the car so we arranged for an independent wreckers to tow the car away. Some 36 hours and 4 buses later, we arrived in Cosenza!

clean and comfy if that's all you want this place is ideal. thin walls so you hear everything though. the building itself doesn't look liked much and that doesn't change inside with dated public areas. rooms are a little better as long as you go superior. couldn't fault cleanliness or comfy bed.

We have stayed here a couple of times now during our journey from the north of the country to the south. Each time we have enjoyed the hospitality we have received. The hotel looks a bit tired but what it looses in its looks certainly makes up in its welcome. The breakfast is traditional and enjoyable.

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und renoviert. Sehr ruhig.Ideal für eine Übernachtung für die reisende Familie. Der Gang zum Zimmer ist aber muffelig. Der Preis ist fair. Empfehlenswert.

Établissement vieillot!! Chambre quadruple avec lit de camp!!! Insectes morts ds la baignoire et un gérant présent trop présent on se sent épié. C est très désagréable! !

La chambre ainsi que la salle de bain sont très propres. Il ne manque rien. La rectification à apporter est la suivante ; les chambres doivent être libérées à 11 heures le matin, ce que nous convenons très bien. Pour notre part, juste après le petit déjeuner (9 h 30) nous sommes remontés dans la chambre et, à notre grande surprise, la femme de ménage avait déjà retiré les draps, serviettes de toilette !!! ouvert la fenêtre sans nous laisser le temps de récupérer tous nos bagages. Un peu trop de précipitation pour mettre en ordre la chambre.

We stayed at this hotel on our trip from Barcelona to Disneyland Paris. We got a family room,as we're 2 adults and 2 children. Room was quite big, with one double bed and two single rooms. Room was quite comfortable, clean, modern. Altought from outside it seems terrible, the inside is very good, and owner is wondeful. We didn't taste breakfast, so couldn't write about. There is free wifi, and satélite TV. Don't be panic for exterior landmark, the next to door boulding is abandoned and has nothing to do with the hotel. There is a lot of free parking, and a play area for kids. Overall, I consider this hotel a good place to stay.

Un peu déçus de l'hôtel que nous avions choisi sur ce site, en fonction des avis et de sa note. Les gens qui le tiennent sont gentils et serviables et on sent qu'ils font de leur mieux pour maintenir l'hôtel propre et confortable. Mais le bâtiment est vieux, collé à un immense GIFI désaffecté, entouré d'une zone en friche où sont mis en tas des gravats et déchets, le parking se détériore, la façade de l'hôtel est défraichie. La décoration des chambres est un peu vieillotte. Par contre les couloirs, la salle de petit déjeuner, les chambres sont très spacieuses et pas de problème pour la propreté, même si ce n'est pas totalement nickel. Cet hôtel me donne l'impression qu'il essaie de survivre tant bien que mal mais que le bâtiment est tellement grand que les tenanciers, malgré leurs efforts, ne parviennent pas à l'entretenir dans sa totalité.
