Hotel des Cayrons

We enjoyed five nights at the Hotel des Cayrons in February 2015. Tom, the owner, was very welcoming and had heated the room before our arrival. He was happy to answer all our questions about the area and gave us numerous maps and leaflets to help us plan our visit. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a great source of information and advice. If he didn't know the answer to one of our questions he would go away, look it up and then come back with an answer. This was very much appreciated as it helped us plan our days to make the most of our trip.

I have to say it is a strange location. But the place is clean and rooms are very small. But easy to go around and had a good night. Overall the place is fine. Location is good and reasonable priced.

Owners very pleasant, room small, a little noisy (other guests) breakfast fine, disappointing that no restaurant within walking distance although town of Vence only a few minutes drive away. Of course in the first couple of trips at night this involved getting lost and having difficulty parking etc.

We enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very pleasant & very helpful in more ways than one & went out or their way to make our stay pleasant.

The owners were lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I don't normally leave reviews, but felt they deserved 5 stars for the wonderful time we had!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable and they provide all the right amenities if you are traveling with kids. The pool was wonderful (not heated now but felt great even though a bit cool ... although they did mention they may be adding heat to the pool at some point). There is a great little play area and trampoline for the kids to play on as well. There are a few toys/games in the lobby and rooms and they have DVD players available. The breakfast by the pool was wonderful (not included in the price but a nice feature to have) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We especially liked having AC available for us to use in the rooms. Overall a great experience and I would recommend to anyone staying in the area. It is a little drive to town from the hotel, but not too far.

We were very pleased with the Auberge des Cayons. It is a small hotel, 10 rooms, I think, run by Tom and Ruth, a married couple from England. The hotel is very family friendly with books to read, toys for kids, playground equipment and a pool. The bus stop down to Nice is right at the front door. The breakfast room is sunny and charming. Rooms are small but we two did just fine. Tom and Ruth are most helpful with information and tips for the Vence area and are just downright friendly folks. We felt like they were our first best friends in France.
