Fasthotel Carcassonne

I liked the location a lot in the heart of Carcassone. Everything was easy to get too. Aldi across the road, Lidl minutes away with a Burger King and more. Airport ten minute walk. Hotel a bit basic and they could do it up a bit better to really appeal. Otherwise good.

Very basic features being right near the airport. Key lock took forever to open.

The room was clean, if sparse.

Office was closed upon at my specified window of arrival. This was unsettling. But response to the bell was not long. My email question about public transport to the location was not answered.

Good Air - conditioning. I asked for an extra towel, and Alain the owner gave me an extra towel. I also asked for an extra toilet roll, and he told me to ask the cleaning staff. One of the cleaners , gave me one. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Lighting: The reading lights either side of the bed didn't work. Light above the desk table in my room , wasn't bright enough. Only had 2 towels, coud have done with 2 extra towels.

Didn't stay reception not open nothing open on making a phone call was told I was in room. 119 and the keys are on the bed terrible hope I don't get charged

No Restuarant and bar . No Refreshments in the room. Tatty decoration . Old broken air con on top of the wardrobe . Room stank of smoke . Felt dirty everywhere . Transport company turned its yard lights on next door at 3 in morning and started moving lorries around along with shouting , right outside my window .door difficult to lock . Tired old building . Overgrown car park . No working restaurants or bars nearby .
