"Ideal for anyone visiting Brest."

10.0

A great hotel close to the train station and the city centre with a large range of resturants and pubs, for the Irish there are two Irish bars close to the hotel. The hotel managment and staff are friendly and very helpfull and they speak excellent English, Rooms are a bit on the small side but are clean and comfortable as is the hotel in general, Nice hotel for a short stay.

"Not bad for a one day stay"

6.0

Room was extremely small. To make it worse, the lift to the room on the 3rd floor was not working. Breakfast spread was austere. However the staff was polite but, communication in spoken English was their bete noire.

"Friendly, quiet hotel"

8.0

I have stayed here 2 nights a year for several years. The staff is friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make one comfortable. Yes, the room is European smallish, but has a big window and a sliding storm window that opens, shower/tub, and free WiFi with keyboard in the room. The staff is happy to print your boarding pass if you check in online. Hotel Abalys is located across from Kennedy Park and parking - the staff will explain how to manage the timing of ticket purchase to keep the cost very low. The train station is just down the street where you can catch a shuttle to the airport. It is an easy walk to the art museum, Rue de Siam and the office of tourism. The breakfast is very good but not included. The bar is not open to the public. There are several good restaurants very close by.

"Very quiet with helpful staff"

8.0

Very convenient location for the train station and centre of town, but very quiet still. Bathroom was a little cramped, and some of the decor looking a bit tired, but kept very clean. Despite my lack of French, staff were very pleasant and helpful

"Not bad"

8.0

The rooms are small, but this is to be expected. Not bad for a two star hotel. My hairdryer did not work and complained but this was not resolved. The 8 Euro breakfast was not bad - initially I thought it was expensive but when you go to Paris then you will experience what expensive feels like (my hotel there wanted to charge 19 Euro for breakfast)

"Best hotel in Brest"

10.0

This place was perfect. Front desk staff was the most helpful person ever, spoke english, and had great suggestions as to things to do around Brest. Located right by the train station and a short walk to the centre of the city, and to the harbour area.

"Great location, quiet"

8.0

Great location, 5 min to the railway station and to city buses. Quite old building but very clean, rooms are really quiet even if you're on the street side (two set of windows). Furniture and bathroom looks awkward but it's OK if you're not picky. The breakfast is really, really good, with local pastries and fresh crepes !!
