The staff, lovely and very friendly and kind. The construction and style. Very clean. Our big room with a lovely balcony and view that we used a lot to read, watch the birds of prey etc. The gardens and pool. We were there in late April with day time high temperatures varying from 20 to 26 - the late evenings were thankfully cooler. If going in the height of summer, I would consider one of the ground floor rooms as they have deeply shaded patios, but you sacrifice the view we had. You can take a number of walks or full on hikes directly from the hotel - good maps in the small Tabac near the Spar in Gordes centre. The hotel recommended visorando app, which was also useful for walks especially as it shows your location even if no signal the same as OS locate.

These are not dislikes, we loved it and would happily stay again but things to be aware of.. There is a little road noise. The vast majority of the time it was ok, and we don’t like road noise, but Friday evening might be boy racer/motorbike night. We found the property very relaxing and on the whole peaceful. There is no restaurant on site - they are clear about this before booking. They have a small menu of light snacks that runs until 20:30 and there is a fridge in the room and they are happy for you to picnic in your own room. We came to really enjoy the 20 min walk in/out of Gordes for dinner. You can walk on small roads/paths that have no/virtually no cars and the views are great - you need to be in trainers or similar. If there at weekends or high season you must make reservations. There are also taxis.
