Hotel Alexander

Wunderbar.

If Lake Lucerne were a movie, then Hotel Alexander in Weggis would be the IMAX theatre with the best seats—and possibly a warm schnitzel in your lap. We came for lunch and stayed for the view (and dessert, and coffee, and then just… lingered until it was socially acceptable to order a second round). The staff were so friendly and attentive, I began to suspect they were either mind-readers or just really liked their jobs. Either way, I felt like royalty—if royalty were allowed to wear hiking shoes and request extra butter. And let’s talk about the real VIP: our dog. Not only was she welcomed, she was fawned over like a tiny, furry celebrity. Water bowl? Of course. Treats? Naturally. Existential conversation about her feelings on ducks? Possibly. She left the restaurant with a smug expression and the kind of tail-wag that says, “I deserve this.” Bottom line: incredible views, heartwarming hospitality, delicious food, and a dog who now refuses to eat anywhere less than lakeside. Hotel Alexander, we salute you—with forks raised and tails wagging.

Very clean with good facilities. Excellent stuff and friendly owners of the hotel. Very nice spa center.

Schönes Hotel um Ausflüge rund um den See zu unternehmen und am Abend das Bad zu geniessen. Das Restaurant hat eine grosse gedeckte Terrasse. Sehr gutes Frühstückbuffet und auch schön fürs Abendessen

The swimming pool, the views on the lake, the location, and how kid friendly it was! They were super lovely and super accomodating. The location is superb and it is absolutely adapted to kids (they even gave our little one a bathrobe for his size!).

The beds were unfortunately very hard which made our rest not as good as we thought it would be. But that was the only thing!

I got the day spa voucher for this hotel for my birthday. I had one entire day inside the spa, which I have to say it is nice…the spa has a pool inside and a pool outside, it was a rainy day so outside was really cold and I have to say water was too cold, for me and my friend wasn’t enought warm to enjoy. Pleasant was the sauna area and all these beautiful old rooms inside. With spa day we got also to have lunch there, at the restaurant, lunch was good, service was a bit pushing to be honest, but we enjoyed it anyway. The spa has really a beautiful view. Service at the spa receptionist was really good and professional, really welcoming. We loved the bed full with water, to relax, and the fact you can have tea and water whenever you want. Generally I would like to come back there, I just hope water will be warmer. Marika and Claudia

Spectacular view of the lake from the pool. Spa and pool were wonderful and not crowded, so it was very peaceful and relaxing and loved that there were waterbeds available to rest on. The meals were delicious, too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great place to stay with an amazing view of the lake. The staff was super kind and helpful. It was a long walk to the bus station with luggage for my trip out the next day and they were able to arrange a ride for me and sent me with a sandwich since I had to leave before breakfast started. Very thoughtful. The pools are a great amenity and the spa menu looked amazing. Comfortable bed too.
