Das Hotel besticht durch seine zentrale Lage in der Altstadt. Die Zimmer zur Strasse besitzen Aussicht auf historische Monumente. Die rückwärtigen Zimmer schauen auf einen bescheidenen Innenhof.

Ich buche hier von Zeit zu Zeit, aber es ist von Mal zu Mal weniger ansprechend. Vier Sterne sind sehr hochgegriffen, zwei gefühlte Sterne sind treffender. Auch ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis je länger je mehr wenig überzeugend. Sprich, die Zimmer sind mässig modern und doch sehr abgegriffen. Die veralteten, wenig ansehnlichen Badezimmer benötigen dringend einer Sanierung. Auch sind die Abläufe regelmässig verstopft. Die fehlende Hingabe zu Pflege und Unterhalt lässt sich nicht schön reden. Für eine Geschäftsreise ist die Unterkunft ausreichend, für einen Ferienaufenthalt ernüchternd. Schade eigentlich, denn die alten Gemäuer hätten das nötige Potential.
