Hotel is in an excellent position near the train station, with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good value for money!

First of all, the location is great because it is located in front of Breg station (just 2min on foot). Secondly staff services are excellent. We realized that I left the wallet in the hotel room after checkout but the woman staff accepted us so kindly even though early morning. I can’t say thanks enough. Recommend to stay here!

Highly recommend the Hotel Europe, we had a great stay. Wonderful hospitality from Matte and the team. Very clean and comfortable rooms, a decent shower and a very nice breakfast with local produce and homemade cake. Would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you for being so nice 😊

I booked an economy room, since I didn't plan to spend much time in it, and I was very satisfied with the value. My train from Germany was delayed; so I got special instructions for a late check-in (after 21:00) from the hotel. However, there was still someone there, apparently because other guests were also delayed; so I didn't need to use the lock-box. The hotel is very conveniently located across from the railroad station and the Glacier Express (which leaves from outside the station). I had a nice view of snow-topped mountains from my room looking out toward the station. The room was clean. The single bed was comfortable. The room had a shower, but the private bathroom was located across the hall--the one drawback that was spelled out in advance. All in all, I was very satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

This is a BASIC property. Don't expect in-room coffee, a safe, or other amenities. On the other hand, they gave us Room 31 which is the largest hotel room we've had, with two closets, chairs, night stands, excellent bedding and so on. A woman from Portugal keeps the breakfast pleasant. It was strange to check in and not be told that there'd be no water for five hours. Everyone has water problems eventually, and we should have been notified. The reception is not peopled, and there were so few people at breakfast and never any noise, that it seemed we were alone in the building.

We were on a train to stay at this hotel; however, we arrived in Milan, Italy on a train and got stuck at the train station as there was a train strike on this day and our departure train to Brig was cancelled. We were not able to get on a train to Brig but they still charged us for the stay stating we had to cancel 3 days in advance. This was not our fault and we feel they should be more flexible due to this being the fault of the train personnel going on strike and shutting down trains. We had to unexpectedly find and pay for another hotel in a different town. Beware of their inflexible policy!

We stayed at this hotel so that we could visit the nearby glazier. The glazier is accessed from the hotel by a short train trip followed by two cable cars. The breakfast at the hotel was good. The hotel location is good.

Hotel has excellent location to the train station - very convenient for making day trips to Interlaken and the Matterhorn. Rooms are clean with basic furnishings and the breakfast is very good. Easy walk to the charming old town that has lots of restaurants. Not a lot of on-site service - mostly self serve. Could have provided fans in room to make more comfortable on warmer days.
