Hotel Corte Estense

We spent one night in Ferrara so that we could leisurely explore this beautiful city that we had briefly visited several times before. The Hotel Corte Estense is very well located in the centro storico and close to the Duomo, the Castello Estense, and Via della Volte. Good restaurants are also close by. We particularly enjoyed Leon D'Oro, a convenient place for snacks, drinks, and dinner.

The hotel was a lovely experience, the staff were helpful and charming, and were willing to go out of their way to help. The room was great but there was only one plug socket in the whole room which was difficult if I wanted to charge several things at once and use straightners etc. There was wifi but it did not work on my phone the whole time I was there, and the phone signal was terrible which meant I couldn't use the Internet at all when I was in the hotel. Those were the only downsides. The location was brilliant, 2 min walk to the square and cathedral. I would stay there again but I would say the lack of plug sockets was annoying as well as the wifi not working.

Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and the rooms are spacious and welcoming. Only negative is that they only had one spare pillow so we had to compromise on who got it!

This is a traditional style Italian Hotel with a central courtyard in the historic centre of Ferrara. It is conveniently situated to see the Castle, Cathederal and piazzas and less than five minutes from the main shopping areas, cafes and restaurants. The hotel is quiet and restful and the breakfast is plentiful with some homemade cakes.

The hotel has a lot of marble & nice fabrics, its elegant. In a very central location, with responsive helpful staff. I have no complaints, and, would stay there again.

Ferrara has spectacular architecture, and great local food. Hotel Corte Estense is 1/2 block from the main Piazza, surrounded by good restaurants. Décor is just a little dated, but, in good condition, and charming. The Staff were all very pleasant and most helpful. The Hotel is good value. The Hotel's wi - fi was marginal, otherwise, I had no issues.

Just about OK. Perfect location and attentive service, but the rooms were old-fashioned and lighting in both the room and the bathroom was poor. Also the room was rather small for two.

The Corte Estense is, quite simply, one of the most delightful places we have ever stayed. Its location is ideal, less that five minutes on foot from the Duomo and another three minutes from the castle. The hotel itself is quiet, charming, comfortable, and inexpensive, with lots of old-world charm in its elegant decor. The service is friendly and efficient. The breakfast is excellent. We have stayed here twice already and will certainly do so again.

We actually enjoyed it very much. It was air-conditioned! and we were thankful because it was in the 90's while we were there.
