Hotel Hambros Il Parco

Die Lage etwas außerhalb von Lucca und die Anlage war sehr gut,

What a beautiful little hotel down a beautiful driveway - we loved it so much we asked to stay an extra night! It was so hot so being able to arrive and get in the pool was wonderful. The pool area was gorgeous - lots of sunbeds, towels provided, a lovely friendly member of staff - that's what we wanted from our hotel. Our room was also lovely. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space, a fridge, and perfectly cool AC. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was delicious! We felt very looked after and were so glad we could stay another night.

The only thing we want to mention is that on our second night we ate at the restaurant on site, and it was a bit of a disaster. We did not have a reservation, and immediately the man who seats everybody made us feel like we'd done something terrible. The other staff were smiley, friendly, and before we knew it prosecco that we hadn't asked for was being poured in our glasses. We were not given menus and learned that because it was Friday, it was truffle tasting night - we asked if we could have different food from the menu but our waitress said no. We were on holiday, enjoying the prosecco, and so just accepted that we were being treated to a special menu. As time went on, other guests were being served different meals, and in nearly 2 hours all we had been served was beef tartare and a fried egg. Our 3 year old had some mashed potato (which was the most delicious we have ever tasted!) but she was getting very tired and fed up. We asked if we could stop the menu, but were then charged nearly €100 for what we had - the entire tasting menu was €42 each so the bill shocked us because we had hardly eaten anything. The experience spoiled our night.

Ontbijt was heel goed. Locatie is lekker rustig en alles is goed bereikbaar als je een auto hebt

De airco doet het, maar de koeling wordt beperkt. De douche is lekker maar wel aan een update toe

La struttura è molto bella, ben tenuta, ampia e la zona piscina molto bella. Il ragazzo che lavora in piscina è stato super gentile ed educato. Le stanze un po' basic per un 4 stelle, però sono grandi e ben tenute.

Purtroppo la colazione è veramente scarsa. Assolutamente non a livello 4 stelle. Per buona parte del soggiorno abbiamo scelto di fare colazione fuori. Prodotti scarsi, poca scelta sia di dolce che salato...tavoli non apparecchiati, mancanza di uova strappazzate. Dopo 3 notti e 4 giorni non è stato messo in stanza nemmeno una boccetta di shampo e bagnodoccia in più.

Ogni anno io e il mio compagno torniamo in questa splendida villa per farci un weekend in totale relax. Ogni volta questo non viene mai smentito. Silenzio, tranquillità e pace caratterizzano questa favolosa villa immersa nel verde. Il ristorante Canaiolo sempre ottimo.

Colazione ottima, giardino molto bello, area piscina confortevole. Edificio storico molto accogliente.
