Friendly owner.

Dirty bedsheets, broken appliances, power outlet that fell out of the wall, unpleasant smell. Cockroaches crawling on the floor. Wobbly table and broken chair. Dust everywhere. A lamp outside my room that doesn't shut off during the night and not even the curtains could block out properly. Extremely noisy. Random hotel guy trying to enter my room without explanation. Door not completely tight, you can see in the room from outside.

great location great "Morocco style" design

The hotel is owned by a colorful fellow, with a great sense of humor, who is great to have a conversation with. It is nestled in a pedestrian only area with hundreds of shops and restaurants as its neighbors. The old world buildings and vibe offered an experience that I've never had. The hotel is decorated with an enormous amount of collections at every turn. As a collector myself, I found this very appealling. Because of its location, were able to set out on walks through countless streets of old world style and still return for a break when needed. A very short, about a 2 block walk from Brussel Centraal Station. Have good wheels on your luggage and you're all set.

We Americans love our air conditioning, and the Mozart has none. We had a large window that opened to a garden area that provided a nice breeze. However, the garden seemed to be where people would go to have a smoke and it would draft into the room. So, if you're sensitive to that, stay out of room115. Although there is an elevator, there are still some steps up and down. NONE of this was a deal breaker for us. I only mention it so that you know what you know before you go, because we are accustomed to different things in th U.S.
