Fattoria Sant'Appiano

This is a lovely Agriturismo with a fantastic pool! There are only a small number of rooms so we often had the pool to ourselves which was fantastic. We stayed in a superior one bed apartment meaning we were in the converted building really close to the pool. This was fine for us and our two children but they did have to share a bed so may consider booking the two bed another time. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the air conditioning was really effective. Just remember your insect repellent as the mosquitoes were everywhere!

We asked for an extra bed as didn’t want our kids (8&6) to have to share a bed but there wasn’t one when we arrived. We had specifically asked for this on the booking but were told on arrival the ‘extra bed’ only refers to a baby cot and if we wanted to add a camp bed it would be an extra €20 per night. This felt excessive so we made do but would have preferred if we’d been told this in advance of booking. Our kids were ok in the end but it wasn’t ideal for their quality of sleep and younger children may not cope with this sleeping arrangement.

Great location near to San Gimignano and Siena. Especially the pool saves parents lives after a hot sightseeing day with kids 😉

We had a room just next door the pool. Pool was great no need to stress about the space to sit. not too many people- only 8 roomsRooms are really big

Be carefull to ask about the dosctance to pool, other location was very far from the pool, up hill. we were lucky to be next to the pool.

We stayed in the separate apartment for 5 people. It was 3 minutes by foot from the swimming pool, 3 minutes from the Italian restaurant. The place was really nice, perfect location for visiting cities like Sienna, San Gimignano, Barberino etc by car. The owner of the accommodation was really kind.

In our apartments, the bathroom sink didn't drain and the door also malfunctioned. The garden with a grill right behind the house was nice, but unfortunately a bit dirty, so we didn't sit there once.

It was all we were looking for!

The location was amazing

The surroundings (San Appiano) were great.

We did neither have a usable terrace nor did the appartment have a view. Appartment #3 is located in a pretty shabby house in not so pleasant neighborhood, far away from the pool. The first day we did not have running water, on the second day there was only cold water. The grass had not been mowed. The pool and its amenities need a touchup since year. All in all a run down place. The pictures on booking.com are quite misleading……
