Maingau Hotel

Fantastic location. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants, museums, the LOVE Bridge and the old district. The room was very small. I wasn't expecting that from how the photo's looked. But the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and modern and we had a small closet. The window opened which was nice and we were right across the street from a park, so it was nice and quiet. Check in was very easy. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful. It was nice to be able to get coffee down in the lobby in the morning as the one in the room was just okay.

No AC! It was +32 when we arrived into Frankfurt, so I was very very surprised to see that we didn't have air conditioning. Thank goodness there was a fan in the room. The room was way smaller than it looked in the photo's. I should have noticed the square meters when booking it. That's my fault.

Too hot. No air conditioning. Hard to sleep with it being so hot

Hotel in a quiet, safe, and walkable location to all the tourist sites. The breakfast was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Hotel faces a public park with mature trees giving hotel room windows privacy. If you are traveling with children, the public park has a large playground. The hotel staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms were small, the shower was in the hall and the shower doors leaked water. No room refrigerator. We were there during a heatwave and the hotel does not have air conditioning, only a portable fan.

I really liked the location. It’s about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Altstadt, the main museums, the squares, and the cathedral, and only around 5 minutes walking to the Main River. The hotel itself felt cozy, the room was small but perfect for a solo traveler, and the bathroom was very clean.

The room can feel a bit tight if you’re traveling with large luggage. The staff experience was also a bit mixed. The person who checked me in was very helpful and welcoming, but the person handling my check-out felt distant and not very warm.

Locatie is perfect, een minuut of 7 lopen naar station vanwaar treinen, trams, bussen, s- bahn en u- bahn vertrekken. Altstad is ook goed in een minuut of 15 lopend te bereiken. Veel restaurants in de omgeving van het hotel.

Helaas geen kluisje en mini koelkast op de kamer, maar in de hal van het hotel staat een koelkast met koel drinken. Badkamer is klein maar douche was lekker warm.
