Nice private beach in walking distance. Lovely walks around hotel. Food good and service friendly but long wait during evening meal.

This is a good 3star hotel that calls itself 4star. Worst aspect is that while summers have gotten hotter the Mohrenwirt has no air conditioning at all and that was very uncomfortable at night.

Book the 4* room in the hotel, not the 3* in the Annex. It is tiny and the bathrooms needs updating. It was clean & the first hotel that used Alexa throughout - which was a very pleasant surprise. The service was great!

Everything about the hotel was perfect. Lovely hotel in a small and beautiful lake side town located close to the bus stop ( for those with walking problems or with a lot of luggage, this would be ideal). The hotel has an elevator as well, which is rare in the area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very cooperative staff who made sure all our requests were taken care of and were happy to provide local tips. Breakfast was very good with a great spread. No negatives. Go ahead and book.

I needed the sauna after walking around the lake and scaling the Schober. Breakfasts are very well done and the staff very helpful. My room was "compact" but for the price it served me well.

The staff were extremely personable and welcoming. Breakfast staff were especially helpful and efficient and there was a great choice of food and drink. The location of the hotel is great, in a lovely little village. Lake Fuschl is wonderful: clean, fresh and warm water. The hotel's beach allows you to relax in attractive, tranquil surroundings. We stayed in the annex, but it's only a short hop across the road to breakfast.

Great place to stay! Close to Salzburg but away from the city. Wake up to mountains all around you. Do the breakfast!

We spent a weekend at Hotel Mohrenwirt, in a room in the 'Annex', which is a building across the street from the main hotel. Our room was in the second floor (no elevator, but this was ok for us). It was spacious indeed, clean & comfortable. As others have noted, the only annoying thing was the proximity to the local church whose bells are the alarm clock - quite loud & sounding for a long time....but it was not a deal breaker overall. Breakfast is fantastic, so much variety as well as great service from staff with coffee & tea. The front office staff are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. On the Saturday night we were unable to eat dinner at the hotel due to a private event, but we received good recommendations from Daniella for an alternative location to dine. Dinner at the hotel on Friday evening was marvellous. Food cooked perfectly, served nice & hot with delicious taste. Also good wine recommendations. We hope to return to this hotel in the future & highly recommend it.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over some years and it still came up to expectations even though it is now promoting cycling in the area.

We chose the hotel based upon both TripAdvisor and Expedia, and found it to be a good decision. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. You could sense that they all love their jobs. The owner even greeted us. The hotel is perfectly situated, a two minute walk from the lake shore. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The food is fresh, healthy and plentiful. The hotel offers a full menu of activities for anyone looking to take advantage of Salzkammergut's reputation for extreme sports.
