Hotel - Pension Adlerhof

Close to train station so area not great but five min walk Unit was new so great. Extra bed in kitchen Breakfast lovely and staff very helpful

We stayed in a quad room which was nice and spacious. Bathroom was a bit tight. Very close to train and bus station, less than 5 minutes walk. Walk to old town was about 15 minutes. There is a small shopping centre about 7 minutes walk with a supermarket at basement. Although area seems a little run down, it was completely safe as we walked late at night the 3 nights we stayed here.

Overall the hotel is ok but the room was quite dated. The bed was comfortable but I thought the room was in bad need of an upgrade. Breakfast was good with good selection and the staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights in Salzburg and then a week later we stayed another night at a different hotel in the same price range but a signifcant difference in quality of the room and amenities.

I found the Hotel very good, clean, a very good size room with comfortable beds. Clean and good size bathroom with a good shower

The hotel is quite close (5 min walk) to the train station, rental car businesses, and just a 10 min walk to Mirabell Palace. For our needs, it was I. A great location. Overall the hotel had some interesting quirks. 1-You get a key Attached to a large brass key ornament. When you leave the hotel you have to give the key to the front desk. You don’t really want to lug the heavy thing around. 2- Our room was comfortable. We had a small kitchenette, a separate bedroom with queen size bed, and two twin beds in the living room area. Overall it was quite comfortable. 3- No shower doors. This was strange for me as I was worried the kids would spray water all over the place. However we managed to not create a swimming pool. 4- No air conditioning in the unit or at least I couldn’t figure out if there was one. However, it wasn’t super warm the day we arrived and we had the windows cracked open a bit. 5- It was a bit noisy outside at night. Woke us up a couple of times at night with all the cars driving by and people talking. 6- Breakfast was included. That was a nice bonus. It wasn’t like an enormous spread but it was nice that we didn’t have to go hunt for breakfast for our first day in the city. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and I’d consider staying again.
