Returning 2 years later with great memories of our last stay we are very disappointed. This was an Air BnB experience and 4 star prices. Poor arrival and check in set the mood. The smallest bedroom and bathroom in the world (it was sold as small but at 160 a night we could not have been less pleased) chaotic breakfast, staff make you feel stressed. No check out. No contact during the stay, just very poor all round. This company has a monopoly in the town and this has not been a good thing. Just glad none of our friends went on our recommendation last time. You really need to look at the customer journey guys, it is not good for this price point. Only positive on our stay was Laura who was very nice and responsive.

Everything was excellent. We have traveled to Val D’Orcia 7 or 8 times, and can say that this is a perfect place to stay if staying in a town. The location is perfect for strolling through San Quirico and the broader Val D’Orcia. The breakfast is a great way to start the day. I think our group did most things on the SPA menu, and their services are top notch. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

We stayed in the presidential suite. The room was excellent and all the in-room facilities were excellent. However, the bathroom was quite small and not in proportion to the size of the room.

Palazzo del Capitano è un albergo diffuso da sogno nel cuore di San Quirico D'Orcia. Il nostro soggiorno (troppo breve!) è stato perfetto. La stanza è stupenda, con una vasca idromassaggio nel living. All'arrivo abbiamo utilizzato la Spa per un percorso benessere e un trattamento accompagnati dalla delicatezza e dalla competenza di Sara. Abbiamo provato il ristorante, buonissimo!, a cena, con un'ottima carta dei vini e un servizio impeccabile. Si può raggiungere in pochi passi il giardino per la colazione, con prodotti di qualità, tanta scelta e un'atmosfera magnifica. Ci siamo sentiti accolti e coccolati per tutto il soggiorno da uno staff gentilissimo e attento. Vorrei poter ricordare i nomi di tutti, dai ragazzi della reception che abbiamo conosciuto all'arrivo e al momento del check out, ai ragazzi che ci hanno servito da bere nel giardino e che ci hanno coccolati a colazione. Torneremo sicuramente! ♥️
