ATLAS Posthotel

The hotel is in the town center within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping, a beautiful park, etc. Our room was large by European standards. The breakfast was traditional and excellent (McDonalds is across the street for those with a fast food palate). Onsite parking is limited (welcome to Europe), but there's a sizable public lot 1-2 blocks away. I'll stay here again.

Centrally located, staff very helpful in assisting us with travel plans and organizing our limited time in the area. The breakfast had good assortment of European breakfast items as well as some hot breakfast items. Shower a little small with a wrap around curtain that can make floor wet. Good location for active bar/dance club close by. Bus stop 1/8 of mile from hotel.

Great location, good price and friendly staff but hotel is old and rooms don't seem to be kept up very well. Our towels smelled bad like they weren't dried fully.

Close walk to plenty of restaurants, bakeries and shopping. A bit of a loud area at night, and right on a main drag through town.

Garmisch is a ski resort city. Our hotel was designed to accommodate skiers (equipment closet outside room). But it was comfortable. It has an elevator! Cleanliness of room was terrific. We only ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast, which was fine. We were provided with a ticket for free transportation (bus) for our stay. Very convenient to be able to hop on/hop off.

Beautiful historic hotel. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi a lot. Enjoyed out stay tremendously

Apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable. Maid service was very good. The desk staff was very helpful. The location was very convenient parking was okay but not always readily available, sometimes had to find street parking or public parking. Breakfast quality was good the selection too. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very centrally located to the main downtown area which was really fantastic! They also offered free bus vouchers to use during your stay which made getting to major attractions quite easy. The room was comfortable, LOVED The Pillows- but it was a bit hot without the AC but that's pretty standard for Europe. The staff for the most part was pleasant, though the restaurant staff could use some improvement (slow service/a bit rude)- however I also find this quite common for the region. My only complaint was that it was a loud- even with the window shut, between the church bells and overflow noise from the restaurant bar it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Great location, very quaint hotel, 10 minute walk from the train that takes you up to the top of the mountain. 3 minutes from the pedestrian shopping area. Great staff front desk. Only 5 parking spots and we were lucky to get one. Public Parking down the road a couple of minutes.
