**Unacceptable Experience with Ant Infestation and Staff Attitude** I recently stayed at the Next Savoy Hotel and was deeply disappointed by the experience. Over the course of three days, I repeatedly informed the hotel staff about an ant infestation in my room. Ants were crawling on the bed, floor, kitchen table, and kitchen area. Despite notifying them multiple times, the response I received was shockingly dismissive. One staff member openly admitted, "We get this complaint a lot, I’ll be honest there’s nothing we can do but clean your room again." This is unacceptable—repeated cleaning without addressing the root of the problem does not resolve the issue. To make matters worse, another staff member implied that we also have ants in our home. This insinuation was both offensive and unprofessional. As paying guests, we expect a clean and comfortable environment, not judgment or excuses. At a Marriott or Hyatt property we would atleast be offered a new room.

The Hotel was excellent, the staff at Reception were very helpful as were the Cleaning Staff.

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Loved having pools, gyms, sev. restaurants & bars, garden across the street. If I return to Funchal I would choose to stay here again.

recently stayed at this hotel and appreciated its excellent location—very convenient to nearby restaurants, shopping areas, and key attractions. However, I was disappointed by the overall atmosphere. The staff did not come across as warm or welcoming, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the pool appeared green, likely due to the yellow tiling, which was a bit off-putting. While the convenience of the location was a definite plus, the hospitality and maintenance could use improvement.

Great hotel - breakfast is excellent and rooms very comfortable. Pool area also lovely and a treat to have sea access.
