"Beautiful site, wonderful views"

8.0

It was wonderful, except for the bed of the room Petunia, it was inside a wood box and it was really uncomfortable. The location, the restaurant, the place everything was really nice, a perfect place to spend some time reading a good book, looking the sea and talking with friends. I really recomend it (but not the Petunia)

Nice location with beautiful views of the Cinq Terre coastline .... accomodation was basic but clean ... lots of stairs to navigate but worth the climb.

"great mini-villas"

10.0

We only got to spend one night here, but wished we could have made it more. It was clean, and what a view. We ate at the restaurant and found it to be one of the better meals of our three week trip. I found the owners to be pleasant and helpful. We'll be back.

"Amazing views and a truly unique experience"

8.0

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short break in Cinque Terre and loved everything about this hotel! The rooms are rustic, but that is part of the charm as I think the hotel is an old farm, which still seems to produce grapes and olive oil. The views from the rooms and restaurant are absolutely stunning and it feels very special to be able to stay in such a unique location. Climbing the approx. 200 steps to and from the room is not a problem at all as there is a small "train" for your luggage and you are rewarded with panoramic views along the way. I really loved the fact that all rooms have their own small garden! Where else can you have lunch under your "own" olive trees while admiring the sea view?! The hotel also provides free still and sparkling mineral water, which was a very nice touch.

"Steep but Great views"

6.0

The hotel is on the side of a cliff. Great location, but tough going up and down. It was very disappointing that the wi-fi and tv did not work. We tried their computer and ours.

"Lovely view but not worth the effort"

6.0

Views are great. Didn't like how staff talked on the phone while serving us, especially when they were laughing, felt it was rude. The apartment was very small and they had the cheek to have a sign in the kitchen telling to keep it Clean or pay 20 euro. We are adults!!!! We should feel comfortable not worried about all the rules!

"Beautiful Resort"

10.0

This place is incredible. We got here by public transport - totally possible although there is a free car park if you've hired a car. The resort is so beautiful, gardens filled with rosemary, lavender and vines, lots of friendly well-looked after cats hanging around and bats and fireflies in the evening. There are sea views from everywhere as it is on the side of a hill. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely and clean with well stocked kitchens (we cooked most nights). We ate in the restaurant on the last evening and it was the best food we'd had during our whole week in Italy - very reasonably priced too. Each apartment has it's own lovely private garden for al fresco dining or just sitting out. Wi-fi available at a small cost, although don't expect to receive a signal in the apartments as the walls are 80cm thick! You can get a good signal on the terraces near to reception though. I don't have enough good things to say about this place, it is my favourite of all the places I've ever stayed in on holiday and better than all the houses I've ever lived in come to think of it!

"Beautiful site, incredible view"

10.0

Really enjoyed the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean and the site was spectacular! The hotel is about 4 kms outside of Riomaggiore and it was a downhill walk with fabulous views. A shuttle bus runs from town uphill to the hotel but stops at 7:00 pm. The restaurant was excellent! Breakfast was OK.

"Do not stay here"

2.0

This hotel was really bad. It was dirty, the room was moldy and disgusting. The location is good, but the hotel condition did not make up for it, especially for a resort town.

"Such mixed feelings about this place!"

6.0

The location of Borgo di Campi is one of the most spectacular I have ever seen. It is on a hillside overlooking a gorgeous sea! I use the term "hillside" loosely. From the office area to our room was 221 steps. And it was incredibly hot there! Our room was a cave with two very uncomfortable twin beds and two windows...one about 12x18 inches and the other in our door which, for privacy, had to have the second cover door shut when you didn't want those walking by to see in. The air conditioner was fairly adequate in the extreme heat, and the humidity in the room made everything damp. BUT THE LOCATION! And the restaurant, though open only limited hours, has a view to die for and very good food! The inexpensive breakfast was just about the best we had in all the B and B's we stayed in. This place is in the middle of nowhere so you have to drive, bus or train to anything. There is a bar next door so we had food when the restaurant was closed and we were too tired or hot to get in the car. Cinque Terra towns are very difficult to get to, and parking is impossible, so you can't just go a pick up a few things at the market. It is a shame, because there was a kitchenette in our room. I would not recommend this place for those having trouble with stairs. I am guessing most of the rooms are better than ours was, judging from what we saw walking around, so make sure you ask for what you want when you reserve. I WOULD recommend this place if you don't mind stairs, are open minded about your room, don't need to be close to a store, and love an incredible location!
