Il Girasole Bed & Breakfast

We loved it here! We had booked the place last minute and showed up later than check-in time, but were still welcomed graciously by the mother on the property (even though there was a communication barrier English/Italian). This was the most peaceful/relaxing property we had stayed on throughout our entire trip around Italy. The room was very spacious and has a nice balcony. The bed was very comfortable and room/bathroom was spotless. A very cute country style home that was only 5 minutes away from the main city. We highly recommend this property.

Great little B&B. Nice owners, but don't speak much English. Was no problem, however. The views out the back are amazing. Rolling hills of grape vines. Definitely recommend. Only negative was they don't really have a sign out on the road. Look for the sunflower. That's their theme.

B&B muito limpo e agradavel. Local fora da cidade, para que está de carro. Chega-se ao centro de Montepulciano em alguns minutos. Tambem tem restaurantes a alguns minutos de carrro.

Pernottato una sola notte, ed è stato un vero peccato. Vista incantevole su Montepulciano, calma e silenzio rilassante, ottima camera e pulizia. Colazione strepitosa. Consigliatissimo

this is a nice B&B in the beautiful country side between Pienza and Montepuciano, spacious room and huge bathroom makes it a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is a simple Italian style one and the owner is very nice. The house is off road for about 200m with a small sign, so it is nice to be there before dark.

We really enjoyed our stay at il Girasole. Wonderful hostess and cozy room with a balcony and great view!

The owner was very helpful and welcoming and especially when we complained about not being able to sleep because of a dog next door to the hotel barking all night. She moved us to a room on the other side of the house and the barking dog was no longer an issue. We were fortunate we could move rooms as another couple were leaving that morning. I do think the hotel is noisy, not just the dog but also the traffic, making sleeping not easy for light sleepers. The facilities in the room are fine and the breakfast is wonderful, especially the coffee. The hotel allows guests to use the outside tables in the evening and there is a fridge for guests' use.
