Hotel Regit

Bien ubicado, cercano a estación de tren y bus.

Reservamos una habitación doble y nos cobraron un adicional de 20 euros por dos camas separadas que miden menos de un metro de ancho. Además, nos cobraron 40 euros por un late check out de sólo tres horas. Lo peor de todo es la mala disposición del manager, es muy antipático y descortés y no habla español. En una oportunidad nos hizo esperar casi 10 minutos mientras barría las hojas de la calle.

Location was very good for travelling to Venice. Communication with staff was very good, we let them know about the flight delays and always responded promptly. Bus station and train station are 5 min walk from the hotel.

Whilst unassuming from the outside, we found the hotel charming, and the staff friendly and helpful. The location for our interrailing trip was perfect - 5 minutes walk from Mestre Station, from where we could easily get to Venice, Padua and Verona. The gentleman on reception printed off QR codes so that we didn't require visitor passes for Venice. Our comfortable room was on the first floor, so we used the stairs, but there is a lift. It was cleaned every day, had toiletries (shampoo sachets and soap bars) a hot shower (though the shower head had a mind of its own), a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, wardrobe, fridge and desk. There were bedside lights, tables and power sockets at either side of the bed. We had a room at the rear of the hotel and found it very quiet. Breakfast was a basic buffet with a coffee machine, choice of pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, boiled eggs, crackers, biscuits orange juice and even cake! We visited in June and there were usually only 1 or 2 other guests at breakfast so it was a very calm affair. There's a choice of eateries close by and a decent supermarket 10 minutes walk away. It was a 20 minute walk to the old town. We were able to leave our bags at reception after checking out, to collect before our train. We really enjoyed our stay here and found it excellent value for money.

There was nothing we didn't like but occasionally a switch would trip - this was easily rectified by flicking the switch back up in the fuse box on the bedroom wall.

Vicinanza alla stazione (5 minuti a piedi), comodo per spostarsi, camere praticamente nuove e molto pulite.

What I most appreciated was the friendliness of the staff and the courtesy they extended to us in helping us to navigate the area and recommend different places to meet some medical needs. I also appreciated the cappuccinos from the bar. They were quite good. The staff impressed me as providing a very warm and inviting place to stay.

Because my husband and I are big readers I would have liked a comfortable chair and light for reading
