Vila Valverde Design Country Hotel

We are very surprised this hotel was a five stars, considering the poor service and outdated design. - no answer at the gate, stuck in front of the door until a car left the hotel - parking very far from the reception and nobody to help with luggage - nobody at the reception in order to do the check-in; no answer when calling the number from the website; we had to walk around the hotel to find someone next to the kitchen - very cold staff; when asked for recommendations we were simply given a 200-page book to find beaches and hikes in the area by ourselves - unlike other hotels dealing with Covid-19, who replace buffet style breakfasts by asking you in advance what you would like to eat, they simply give you a plate of everything, which is a terrible waste of food. We were not told that we could order special items so someone came to tell us because he was surprised we ate nothing. Staff long to bring drinks or bread, making the overall breakfast experience not very pleasant - check out was the same struggle with no one at the reception Overall, despite a very beautiful park, the experience was terribly disappointing. For the price paid, the facilities are getting old (interior design, pool etc.) and the service is definitely not five stars. Would not recommend.

All staff were outstanding, exceptionally helpful and offered great service.

A beautiful, sparkling clean secluded zen resort with views of the surrounding landscape. Its a beautiful, secure property with gardens to walk around, outdoor seating areas, indoor pool/sauna and spacious, well-appointed rooms. There is a parking lot but it is a walk from the hotel entrance, up a small hill. The breakfast was adequate with lots to choose from and the staff was helpful. I would highly recommend this resort!

Vila Valverde was exceptional it’s a true sanctuary in the middle of the beautiful Algarve

War wunderschön mit riesiger Terrasse und sehr freundlichen Leuten. Unbedingt mit dem Auto anreisen, es befindet sich ein wenig abseits. Dafür kein Massentourismus und schön ruhig. Immer wieder gerne

Klein hotel met faciliteiten van een groot hotel. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Kamer was heel netjes en ruim. Goede ligging van de accomodatie.

Wir waren eine Woche im Vila Valverde Design und Country Hotel. Waren in Room Nr.9 untergebracht und mit unserem Zimmer zu 100% zufrieden. Kaffee-/Teekocher, Kühlschrank, ein geräumiges Bad mit Wanne und Bidet, ein großes bequemes Kingsizebett und eine leise laufende AC machten uns den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Von unserem Zimmer hatten wir Zugang zur großen möblierten Sonnenterrasse. Das inklusive Frühstück war aufgrund der geringen Zimmerzahl schon fast familiär. Man bedient sich am gut ausgestatteten Büfett. Außerdem kümmern sich mehrere Angestellte unauffällig und schnell um Sonderwünsche. Tagsüber waren wir immer an den Stränden der Umgebung. Die nachmittägliche Rückkehr war dann immer wie "nach Hause kommen". Können dieses Hotel zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Vi stannade i 7 dagar och hade en fantastisk vistelse. Kocken lagade väldigt bra mat så det var skönt att ha det dom gånger vi inte gick ut. Hotellet var lungt och det fanns alltid en cabana ledig eller solstol vid poolen/ministranden. Att ligga och kolla ut över den stora trädgården och den omkringliggande naturen var verkligen magiskt. Rekommenderar verkligen hotellet!

Very clean, modern,spacious, double door opening onto beautiful garden and peaceful mountain view (room on the ground level) Good aircon Staff excellent. Definitely exclusive as only 12 or so rooms. Breakfast very good but should mention the hot option to new guests as the notice of this is very small.
