Palazzo Belmonte

Rich in history and tucked away in the beautiful town of Santa Maria di Castellabate, this property was the perfect setting for my nephew and now niece's wedding. I can honestly say it was a magical experience. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. One important tip when booking: be sure to include the correct number of guests. I reserved a triple room but only listed two guests, and was charged for the additional person upon arrival. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Just remember—you are in Italy, where life moves at a more relaxed pace than in America. Embrace it and enjoy the slower rhythm. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting the Princess and Prince, along with their lovely dogs. They were gracious hosts and added a special touch to the experience. The amenities were fantastic, including a beautiful pool, a private beach, and a wonderful daily breakfast. I especially enjoyed my morning walks along the sea and seeing my family, who are from the area. Hearing "Ciao, Michele!" each day made me feel right at home. This was truly a memorable stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this stunning part of Italy.

Such an incredibly beautiful and serene place to stay. The gardens are stunning, the food is in incredible, and it’s the perfect spot for R&R. The adorable cocker spaniel greeting crew doesn’t hurt either!

We loved our two-day stay at the Palazzo! I researched this property very carefully before booking because I was concerned about a number of reviewers who mentioned problems. I'd like to say that if you are interested in total luxury, being pampered with pool-side services, and a resort vibe, this is not the place for you. If you want a very comfortable, special accommodation with a lovely swimming pool, a beach, and gorgeous vistas, all at a reasonable price, this is the right place for you. We stayed in a big, comfortable Villa room and had a patio of our own. We enjoyed swiimming and exploring the grounds. Thanks to an attentive staff member, we had a fabulous wine tour with Primalaterra, a nearby small vineyard The breakfast is abundant and the town, just a few steps away, has a boardwalk that is full of nice restaurants.

I lost a power adapter for my CPAP machine and didn't realize until night time. The night manager looked all over and found a workable solution by cobbling together other bits and pieces. Outstanding support!

The location is unbelievable. The Palazzo is about a 2hr drive from Naples Airport- and 1.5hr from Salerno. It is absolutely well worth it. You wake up facing the sea and can enjoy the evening watching the sun set its beautiful shades of red, orange and pink. The gardens are well kept and vibrant in colour, it is clear to see the Palazzo invest heavily in keeping them looking spectacular and the grounds are gorgeous to explore. We stayed in the suite, the room has everything you need and the cleanliness was faultless, the staff came everyday to refresh the room and it was perfect. Despite the building being centuries old, the only noise you hear at night- if you choose to have the window open, was nature itself and you can't complain falling asleep to that!. The room even came with it's own little mosquito plug in, a nice touch but do bring your own just in case. Overall I would absolutely recommend this quiet, idyllic, incredibly romantic spot for any couple but with the pool and private access to the beach- perfect for any family for a get away. The food- which unfortunately is just lunch, was incredibly delicious too. Finally the hosts/staff- I mainly interacted with Francesca, who was a joy to connect with - you can see her delight and joy in how she speaks about her ancestral home and the passion she pours into the palace. The staff too were wonderful, forever accommodating, from Ram collecting the luggage in unsociable hours, to the front reception staff always happy to help support any request. I know I'll be back- not least because it was where I celebrated my wedding but because the spot is genuinely unbelievable, the breakfast has all you need, the bar does great drinks and lunch is delicious. The town is just outside so dinner was never a worry either and it is a quaint little town.
