Schönes Schloß mit außergewöhnlichem Ausblick und einem wunderschönen Garten. Toller Frühstücksraum. Einfach Ruhe und Entspannung da es abgelegen ist. Romantik pur. Bus vor der Tür.

Persistent hygiene issue, unkempt grounds, and complete silence from management We stayed here with our two young children (ages 2 and 5) and unfortunately our experience fell well short of what the property’s price point and reputation would suggest. From the first night, a strong and unpleasant odour emanated from the wash basin drain in our bathroom. We reported it immediately. Housekeeping attended the following morning and poured a chemical down the drain — the smell reduced briefly but returned in full by the second night. When we reported it again to the front desk we were told the hotel was fully booked and could not relocate us. We were left with no resolution for the remainder of our stay. Beyond the drain issue, the property itself is noticeably tired and run-down. The grounds are unkempt — not what you would expect from a hotel at this price. The online photos are misleading and do not reflect the current condition of the property. On checkout I was directed to email management. I subsequently sent emails to Deputy General Manager Richard Aigner, Housekeeping & Facility Manager Marisa Todorovic, Front Office Manager Pia Zumkley, the reception desk directly, and also raised the matter through Expedia. More than 48 hours later, not a single acknowledgement has been received from any of them. Future guests travelling with young children should be aware that a drain odour issue exists, that the hotel’s response to it was inadequate, and that management does not appear to respond to guest complaints. This property is genuinely overrated for what it delivers. Save your money and book elsewhere in Salzburg.

Waren im separaten Seitentrakt untergebracht, war in Ordnung. Hotel lebt wesentlich von seiner Lage, dem See und dem Ausblick auf die Berge. Sehr angenehm die fast immer offene BAR für Getränke und kleine Speisen. Das Frühstück in dem schönen Schloss hat vom Angebot her noch Luft nach oben. Anstatt Gouda Scheibenkäse, ein paar regionale Angebote zu Käse oder Wurst wäre zum Ambiente angemessen gewesen.

Außergewöhnliches Ambiente

An absolutely stunning property on the shores of the most beautiful lake. The best manicured gardens I have experienced at a property like this. Breakfast is served in the castle overlooking the lake.

The more standard rooms in the Meierhof building are very small, although for us we also had a 9 month old baby travelling with us which made them feel smaller.

The location is absolutely out of this world. That makes everything easier. The staff were great

Very beautiful old hotel located in a beautiful garden and next to the lake. Friendly staff. Perfectly rich breakfasts in the beautiful old authentic hotel premises. Accessibility to the center on foot was only 12-15 minutes.

Worn, dented old mattresses on the beds. Noise of airplanes from the nearby airport.

The back patio, in the evening with a drink, looking over the lake at the mountains!!!

Not easy to just get a quick cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
