I would recommend the Air Hotel Royal to anybody, also I will stay there again on my next trip! Very pleasant staff, clean and tasteful room!

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a nice breakfast every morning upstairs and the hotel was within walking distance to most everything in Landstuhl. The only downside was the front desk was not staffed all the time. We would definitely stay there in the future.

An excellent end-to-end experience with the AirHotelRoyal. The staff could not have been more helpful. I departed early Saturday morning before the normal breakfast start time. The host moved up the time an hour to accommodate me.....and I also received a small lunch for my travel. Very comfortable, excellent value, impeccable room and collegial staff. Wanted a hotel close to Ramstein AB. This was perfect. Really close. Beautiful hotel, great folks, wonderful breakfast, free parking. Great resturants nearby. Did day trips to nearby stuff - Rhine boat ride, Trier (Roman ruins,) Nurburgring. This is an older building remodeled into a very nice B&B. There was not someone at the front desk all the time so we had to coordinate how to get a key because we arrived late.

I recently booked my stay here for 1 1/2 weeks. I was in the area for a class and asked everyone about their hotels - I was originally staying at another hotel in Kaiserslautern but quickly that it was not so great. The Air Royal has huge rooms; I stayed in a single room on the top floor and had a huge room. Instead of being a hotel room, it felt like a large studio since I had my own sitting/dining area. Everything was emmaculate, clean and the design was crisp and modern. I think in this area, it's a hard find and after asking around, most people were in very small rooms with outdated furniture, no ventilation and crappy service. The Air Royal is the total opposite. All the staff was so accommodating (even received a goody bag at check out for my trip to the airport). The room has great ventilation in the bathrooms, which is hard to find in this area, free wired internet, easy parking, comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast with tons of fresh fruit, and is in a great area in Landstuhl. The hotel is 10 minutes to Kaiserslautern and 5 minutes to Ramstein. You can't beat this hotel...and it was more reasonably priced than the crappy rooms I found elsewhere!

I stayed during May 2011 while working on Ramstein Air Base. The hotel is in a great location in the center of town and there are a lot of restaurants you can walk to for dinner and a beer. The rooms are bright and clean. Breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit. And the staff was quite friendly; Michael gives good dinner recommendations. Also, there is a cute courtyard outback where you can enjoy the evening air.

A very nice family owned and operated pension with very clean and comfortable rooms. The Air Hotel Royal is very orderly and comfortable, the defining qualities of the German experience. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. The neighborhood the hotel is in lends itself to walking tours of Landsthul, especially the Nanstein Fortress. We never ate in the same establishment twice in our week long stay and always walked to dinner. A true gem of both hotel and neighborhood!

The rooms were clean, and much larger than expected. Not your typical European "compact" room. Had a studio feel, and yet there was a living area and a bedroom, and a private bath. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Service was very good. Very nice overall. Good value. Two cautions: Don't forget to take your room key after 9 p.m. to get back in, as the front desk is not always staffed during their meal breaks or when the front person is called away to help someone. Other caution is that the hotel is right next to a transit stop, so when the buses start to run in the morning, you do get some street noise. If you are sensitive to nose, ask for a room on the upper floor, or in the back of the hotel.
