Leonardo Hotel

Heel leuk voor een paar daagjes tussen door .De oude bazaar met vele restaurantjes en winkeltjes . Heel veel standbeelden !

I stayed at the Hotel Leonardo with a friend, it was a city trip on a budget. We were checked into a beautiful and clean room which offered us a lot for a reasonable price. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was very friendly and helpful, in pointing us in the right directions and calling us a taxi when we needed one. There is always someone at the reception, even when you're returning from a bar at 4 in the morning! We had a wonderful time in Skopje.

Small comfortable hotel with friendly stuff, sufficient breakfast, full fridge and access to the green backyard (if you stay on the firs floor) You can order a taxi and get to Matka canyon for about 10$ one way per car.

This hotel is place where you are able come back again and again. There are two categories of the rooms, superior and economy. We tried both of them because after first night of good experience we decided to come back and sleep here again before our flight back home. Of course there is a difference between quality and price of them but not so big. Both types are very good. Difference between price is app 7 eur. Superior double room is modern and very comfortable, decorated in white color on first floor. Economy room is more standard and simpler on ground floor but with the door in garden with chairs and table. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, in the bathroom are toiletry, towels and hair dryer. Breakfast are really rich with many choices from ham, eggs, yogurts, cheeses, jam, cereals, etc etc. The location is excellent, in very quiet area of the city but very close to city center, maybe 15-20 minutes by walk, all attractions are close. Not far from the hotel is also supermarket and very good restaurant Domestika. Hotel has parking place in front of the hotel. Receptionists are very kind, fluently speak English. Especially Katerina is very kind and professional person. She recommended us many nice places not just in Skopje but in other regions of Macedonia. She gave us many interesting information. She was very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, clean room, good hot breakfast and the service is good. The staff help me to find places where I want to go and recommended good restaurants to eat.

Super friendly and helpful staff, good location, just 10 min walking to the old town and five from markets. The hotel helped us with tips of what to do, where to go and helped us with a good company to rent a car, we visited Orchid, Greece, Albania and Kosovo, a great trip!

We stayed here for four nights to explore Skopje. The staff was friendly and really tried to think of what you wished for even before you said it (or even thought of it). For example we mentioned to one girl before we went to sleep that we wanted to clear the bill, since we planned to leave 4.15 next morning. The next morning her colleague rang to check that we was up at 4.00 - but we never asked for wake up call! Excellent! The room was big enough and a nice bathroom with shower and free shampoo, conditioner etc. Very clean room and fresh. OK breakfast with cheese, ham, cold sausages, bananas and apples and olives, tomatoes, cucumber, yoghurt, fried eggs (no bacon or hot sausages) and good coffee. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the city. Calm and nice area, silent in the night. We liked hotel Leonardo a lot.

We stayed one night in this hotel and chose it because it was close to the bus station from where we caught the coach to Plovdiv for a day trip. The hotel is easily reached from the city centre by foot which takes about 10-15 minutes. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The room was a good size with an outside balcony which we didn't use as we weren't there long enough. We had to check out early in the morning so we missed the breakfast. The hotel should consider starting breakfast early especially during the peak summer months. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room but it's the first time I've seen a hotel charging for a tea bag/sachet of coffee so I didn't use them. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very good.
