Hotel Hirsch

The location couldn’t be more perfect. Very centrally located near old town, castles and grocery store. The hotel itself was lovely, beautifully decorated and our room was modern, clean and the perfect size for three adults. Service was great and efficient. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend to my friends and family.

Parking was limited but we did find a parking spot.

The hotel is beautiful, with impressive artwork and architecture. The room is comfortable, the beds are great, and the bathroom is spacious. What spoiled the experience was the coldness and lack of receptiveness of the receptionist. This may be due to overtourism (Neuschweistein Castle attracts thousands of people) or it may be cultural. It doesn't matter much. What one expects from a 4-star hotel is at least more friendliness towards guests.

Breakfast was decent, property was okay, rate was a little pricey. Bed was comfy but room was hot, even with the windows open. Thankful that the hotel was able to provide a floor fan when we asked for one that helped with sleeping comfort.

Air conditioning would have been helpful. The website listed "air conditioning" but apparently it was only available in the "newer" wing of the hotel. If this is important to you, ask before you book to confirm if your room has air conditioning.

Breakfast was really good and the room was well laid out. My family and I enjoyed being close to town center but still easy to park and get in and out.

It would have been nice to have air conditioning but I don't think this is typical in many traditional German hotels, fan was provided so that was nice.

Location, staff, room and facilities were excellent.

No air conditioning. We got a fan from hotel, but it was still to warm to sleep.
