Tenuta Aguglia

This was our second visit to Aguglia and we enjoyed it as much this year as last year. We love Noto and evenings there are special. 10 minutes away is Palazzolo and we love the evenings there too - in the square with drinks and the local people. The rooms are tastefully furnished in keeping with the age of the buildings. A fridge and tea/coffee making equipment is also included. The bathrooms are modern with every convenience. Breakfast is a joy as Daniela provides a breakfast full of variety and flavours which she cooks for her guests. Home grown olives and cherries. During our stay she arranged for me to spend a morning in a local restaurant with an award winning chef. Three hours of watching and learning about Italian food provided me with an experience I will always remember. Aguglia is set in beautiful surroundings with palm trees, flowers and a lovely swimming pool. It is a place of charm and tranquility. But also in a location with plenty to see.

Daniela is a wonderful host and a good cook. Aguglia is beautiful. Being in the countryside is great. Palazzolo is a wonderful local town. You have to drive a lot but Aguglia is in the centre of a lot of places worth visiting so that is fine. We loved everything about our holiday.

The agriturismo Aguglia is an excellent choice for a stay in the south east of Sicily. From here you have a convenient starting point for your excursions to beautiful cities like Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa and all the great natural reserves in this area. The agriturismo is a former farm with eight individually furnished rooms where you will be cared for in the most benign way, with a fantastic breakfast and valuable information about your vicinity including trips, dinner tips and current traffic information. We would always go back to this wonderful place! So go there and enjoy it!
