Fijn hard matras en vriendelijk personeel

Vloerkleed en andere stoffen materialen in de kamer vind ik onhygiënisch. Stofnesten. Deur badkamer en andere randen van plinten erg stoffig!

Sehr schönes modernes Superior Doppelzimmer.

Hi This is to share my experience of stay at Hotel Merkur. The front desk staff and also the staff at the restaurant during breakfast were very co-operative and helpful. The only downside is that except for the suites none of the rooms have air-conditioning. So it got very hot when I visited in May and had to request for portable fans which were promptly provided. We appreciate that. I aso had a bad experience probably due to our carelessness but a cover of money was stolen from my daughter's room. She had left it in her handbag in a rush when she went out for sightseeing instead of putting in the safe. Evidently it was taken by one of the room cleaning staff. It may have been our carelessness but that was no reason for it to get stolen from my daughter's purse. We did report this to Mr. Matthias Hirsch, the owner of the hotel. He said he did enquire with two of his housekeeping staff who had cleaned my daughter's room but they mentioned there was only a suitcase in the room and nothing else. This is not possible as my son and she were both sharing the rooms and they had two large and two small suitcases between them. Also my daughter's handbag containing the cover was lying in the room when she had stepped out as she was carrying another bag. Evidently the staff lied about this and Mr. Matthias chose to believe them rather than his guests. We are well travelled and even we have the sense not to falsely accuse any staff. But evidently we are 100% sure it was stolen from the room. Anyways it was our carelessness but would have liked if Mr. Matthias could have taken more action towards the concerned housekeeping staff and not believe their story. Also the house-keeoing staff had entered my room on one occasion even when i had the Do not Disturb sign hanging outside. They said they had to leave at a certain time so they need to clean the room. So this is a request to all future travellers to the hotel to be very vigilant and careful about their belongings lying in the room.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, da zentral.

Das Personal war im Schnitt ganz ok, aber extrem negativ ist uns die brünette Rezeptionistin mit den Tatoos am Arm aufgefallen. Sie war extrem unfreundlich. Aber was für uns total inakzeptabel war, wie sie sich am Tag der Abreise verhalten hat. Auf Bitte ob unser Auto noch in der Garage bis 16.00 Uhr stehen darf, da es da kühl war und wir unsere Medikamente dort sicher lagern wollten. Das hat sie verneint, da ja so viele Besucher heute noch kommen. Die Garage fasst bis zu 10 Autos, darin waren an dem Tag auch später nicht mehr als 3, somit weitgehend ungenutzt. Da wir also unser Auto nicht stehen lassen durften, fragten wir ob sie die Medikamente dann im KÜHLSCHRANK! lagern kann. Wie den ganzen Aufenthalt über hat sie natürlich nicht richtig zugehört und dann die Medikamente in das Gefrierfach gelegt. Das hat natürlich alle Medikamente im Wert von weit über 100€ zerstört. Da dies extrem wichtige Medikamente waren welche ich am selben Tag (ein Sonntag) noch nehmen musste war dies natürlich fatal. Da Sonntag war, war ich den ganzen restlichen Tag damit beschäftigt eine Not-Apotheke zu finden. Ich durfte bis Stuttgart fahren um diese Medikamente aufzutreiben. Vielen Dank an die äusserst inkompetente Rezeptionistin die diesen Auftenhalt zu einem der schrecklichsten für uns machte.

Bonito hotel en gran ubicación.

Lovely spacious room, fabulous breakfast and staff. Dead centre of town - walking distance to all the good stuff

Difficult to find, and parking awkward because google sends you wrong, and the actual street down to it looks inaccessible, but it’s not.
