A charming couple who ran the hotel and the Enotecca on the ground floor, where we also enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Excellent value for money!

Charming. Family running it made us feel at home straight away. Delicious appero on terrace. Gorgeous home-made cake for breakfast. Sampled the wine. Perfect stopover.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, great coffee, superb wine choice.

I would have loved to stay longer

The breakfast buffet was of superb quality and choice in a charming room. Very attentive staff bringing freshly made coffee. A beautiful and characterful bedroom with tea and coffee-making facilities. The hotel is elegant and charasmatic.

We had such a warm welcome from Michaela: we honestly felt like guests in her own home! We had a huge room and an enormous bathroom, traditionally decorated and beautifully clean. The breakfast was plentiful, lots of fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, cheeses, meats and eggs on request. Excellent coffee. Right in the centre of the hilltop village but no problems parking in the surrounding streets when we were there. A handful of extremely high quality restaurants within steps from the hotel, or a short walk downhill to the grocery stores and pizza restaurants if you want something a bit simpler. We appreciated the tea making facilities and fridge in the room. Lovely walks through the vineyards to surrounding wine producing villages (we walked to Barbaresco).

Lovely hotel in the heart of charming Neive! I very much enjoyed my stay in this small, family run hotel. The staff were extraordinarily kind and caring. The room was large, bathroom was huge, and all were very clean and comfortable. Parking can be found right outside the old center and does require a little walk to the hotel, but it's very doable and no trouble. Neive is a perfect location for exploring the Barolo/Barbaresco wine region, all the small villages within easy driving distance. Such a gorgeous area. I had only one meal in town at the Osteria il Borgo, and it was fabulous! Make your reservations the day before, though. Highly recommend Hotel Castelbourg for a stay in Neive. (And the breakfast is great!)
