Antico Borgo il Cardino

Oasi rurale di classe. Servizio umano, squisito. Estrema cura del verde e degli spazi comuni. Ad un quarto d’ora da San Gimignano. È il mio secondo soggiorno a Il Cardino, che sicuramente merita una terza visita.

Super nette Familie, die das Hotel bewirtschaftet. Frühstück kommt an die eigene Terrasse, tolle Aussicht, Ruhe und Natur. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Falls wir wieder in der Toskana sein sollten, kommen wir wieder! Vielen Dank.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und sehr nett. Das Frühstück wurde auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert und konnte (bei einer große Auswahl) sehr individuell zusammengestellt werden. Alles war sehr schmackhaft. Der große und auch breite Pool war sehr gepflegt und hatte eine ausreichend große Zahl von Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Auf die kleine Auswahl an möglichen Abendessen war sehr praktisch und schmackhaft.

Prachtige locatie. Enthousiast en vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk zwembad.

Parasta oli ystävällinen ja iloinen omistajaperhe ja henkilökunta. Allasalue oli siisti ja maisemat upeat. Omalle terassille tarjoiltu aamupala oli myös monipuolinen ja herkullinen.

Very friendly staff (all a big family with different generations). Good breakfast brought to your own little terrace. Nice view and location. Nice pool.

2 small improvement points: 1. The beds / matresses could be more comfortable. They are quite basic and the pillow as well. First two nights had a little neckpain because of it. 2. For a babybed you have to pay €10/night extra. Although this is the case in more places in Tuscany, actually most accommodations offer it for free. The cost of a babybed is €50 if you buy it new, so it doesn’t make sense to charge this much if you stay in a place for multiple nights. We therefore brought our own, but this is less convenient given the space in the car. Staff mentioned it is a requirement from Booking.com that they have to charge minimum €10 / night, but since in all our other accommodations it is for free (also mentioned as such on booking) it is probably a misunderstanding by the staff on Booking.com’s requirements. Note: of course if it is intentional to charge €10/night then it is alright; it just feels odd given the price of a new babybed (<50 euro)
