Caveoso Hotel

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had just finished a gruelling stage of the Cammino Materano and the young lady at the reception welcomed us and insisted we sit and rehydrate ourselves before worring about the check in. She investigated bus and train schedules for oir return and helped us book. tickets. The young man who replaced her later arranged for an in room (excellent) breakfast so we could make the bus. The staff was definitely the best part. The location was also excellent, our room faced one of the "chiese rupestri" and gave us an outstanding view of the city.

As the hotel was located close to a main tourist passeggiata, there was some noise from the street, but it quieted down rasonably early.

The room was beautiful and so comfortable! There was so much room!

The location was great and the breakfast with option to have it in your room was wonderful!

On the plus side the room was warm and clean. Reception was helpful and the hotel location was just off the main street so not many steps up to access the hotel. Just don't use Google maps to get to the hotel as it will guide you down lots of steep steps.

The room (12) was dated. The furniture was chipped and tired. The fridge was dented. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The bath leaked a lot of water over the floor when used. Bathroom fittings were rusty. Plastic flowers in the room did nothing to make it any better. I was very disappointed with this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.
