Chalet Paradiso

The Chalet was the best place we’ve ever stayed at. The huge garden full of lemon trees is simply breathtaking. The location is perfect, our scooter rental was 2 blocks away and it takes you a 2-3 min walk to get to the city centre. There are also lots of very good restaurants and bars in the area and a supermarket. The house was very clean and fully equipped. It was a very comfortable and quiet place. Also, Ambrogio was very kind to us.

The chalet is different being the only unit on land used mainly to grow lemons. Has a microwave, coffee machine and most comforts of home. Access is through 2 keyed gates and therefore security is good.

Owners strict control of the property was discerning when accused of allowing visitors to stay overnight. About 7 cats frequent the property and were quite audible. Mosquitos also invited themselves along. The shower whilst wide was quite thin and awkward to use. Extra towels would be good and a washing machine would be have been great

The place is a free-standing bungalow in the middle of a lemon orchard just off the main drag of Sorrento, about 10-15 mins walk from the railway station. The place has everything you could possibly need and is in very good condition and is EXCELLENT value for money.

The sign directing you down the side street off the main drag can be easily missed (we missed it). It's at the ESSO fuel station around 10-15 mins walk along the main drag from the railway station in the direction of Naples. Be as accurate as you can about your arrival time as the owner needs to wait out the front to give you the keys as you must go through two locked gates. There's no way to avoid this as if he didn't meet you, you'd never find the place on your own. Not so much a negative, just something you need to know.

The chalet was in a great location and on its own. Nice and spacious for 2 people. A lovely terrace and plenty oranges and lemons around. Everything was cvery clean

The kitchen was very compact and needed some improvements. Decent sharp knives, wine glasses and a better corkscrew would help. The main problem was mosquitoes which were bad, we both got lots of bites so beware! It’s understandable when surrounded by trees though.

Chalet Paradiso is conveniently located, just ten minutes walk to town but tucked away in its very own lemon grove which was so peaceful.

Location and terrace

Mosquito spray is required and there was an infestation of tiny spiders in the sofa, also the hot water ran out of the which meant I had to have a cold shower

Just off the main street, a little way out of the centre it feels quite unexpected to find this lovely lemon grove in which the chalet resides. There is a great outside space with seating, cooking facilities, even an outdoor shower and inside the chalet has everything you need. The kitchen inside is a little small, handily tucked away in a cupboard, but was sufficient for us to make a couple of meals.

Peaceful, beautiful, clean, close to town center

Very nice apartement and a very good location close to Sorrento center. Silent and nice lemontrees around. Good and fast communication.
