Too remote from towns and villages

Traumhaft schönes Anwesen mit sehr sehr herzlichen und zuvorkommenden Service - hier bleibt kein Wunsch offen. Sehr exklusive und absolut atemberaubende Anlage, in welcher man sowohl absolute Privatsphäre als auch einen phänomenalen Ausblick genießt. Man fühlt sich innerhalb wenigen Minuten wie „Zuhause“, alles ist liebevoll und detailreich gestaltet.

It was an amazing exprerience. It was a great place to rest and recharge during our busy italy itinerary. Food as amazing, service was exceptional, views were amazing.

We went on the long hike (which most people don't do) and at one point that we went the wrong direction, and we weren't sure if we went the right way looking at the map. However, we didn't have much signal on our phones to help us either. We eventually did make our way, but for a few moments, it was a bit dicey.

Great location, friendly staff albeit a bit erratic in service. Rooms were great and wonderful to be in. Stayed for three nights

The food doesn’t not match the pricing of at all. Can’t make a poached egg for breakfast, for lunch the pasta (can make it better myself) was poor with no flavour, and for dinner we had to send out some of the main courses as it was unedible.

The most perfect place we’ve ever stayed. Beyond beautiful! The staff treated us like family and the service was amazing. 5 star everything. When you walk in you won’t believe your eyes. The Castle and its surroundings are magical! We’ll be back!

An unforgettable stay at Castello Di Vicarello! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home, warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that instantly makes you slow down and soak it all in. But what truly made this trip special were the activities. The wine tasting was a dream, authentic, rich in flavor, and filled with local charm. And the cooking class? Hands down one of the best experiences of the trip. Learning to make traditional dishes in such a beautiful setting was a memory we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for more than just a hotel something that feels like a true Tuscan experience this is it.

Our stay at Castello di Vicarello was a major letdown. The property is visually beautiful, and the food itself is good, but the service ruins the experience. For a place charging these rates, attention to cleanliness and hospitality should be mandatory — yet it was lacking. The living room was dusty, with spider webs or debris on the ceiling — unacceptable for guests with allergies or asthma. Service is disorganized, and apart from one helpful staff member (Isabella), we found the staff untrained and the entire approach overly focused on extra charges instead of guest satisfaction. This property is all about appearances, not true luxury. We would not recommend it. Choose Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco instead for real 5-star service and value.
