B&B Alla Vucciria

Lovely big room, very comfortable large double bed, plenty of fresh air from doors opening to lane below. Delicious light breakfast with big warm croissants, fruit, yoghurt, juice, jams, tea or coffee. Claudio, our host, is a very warm, kind, thoughtful man who speaks good English and who obviously enjoys running his B&B. He took the time to sit down with us, provide a city map and show us what to see in the time we had which was so helpful. The B&B is very centrally located to everything. Note there is a steep climb up three floors to the apartment, no lift. The street was easy to find off the square (don't be put off by the litter on the streets in the area - seemed that was usual in Palermo). Strong, fast wifi. There are little tavernas and restaurants all around serving Sicilian meals - ask Claudia for recommendations - we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Claudio.

We had such a great time. Felt like a perfectly genuine experience of Palermo speaking with our host. Perfect location in the heart of the old town!

A very warm welcome awaits guests at B & B Alla Vucciria. No frills, very authentic and a lovely host in Claudio. Claudio gives his time to make his guests feel very welcome and offers any advice that guests require. He is also a dab hand at a Palermo tour - if you are lucky. The B & B is situated in the heart of the old city close to a market and bars and the port. It is dead central for bus travel and close to the main station. The feel of this accomodatoion is just like living in a Sicilian home in a busy town and we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay.

Area a bit run down, clean and friendly B&B close to restaurant Santandrea, where we had a good meal.

El dueño simpático y muy agradable. El edificio es espeluznante y el entorno da miedo, pero la casa esta totalmente renovada y no hay problema alguno de seguridad. Muy céntrico.

Claudio, the owner, is very friendly and helpful and reassuring. The rooms are large and clean and nicely decorated although the stairwell is being renovated but this did not detract from our experience. The neighbourhood seemed a bit scary at first, our first trip to Palermo and we arrived in the dark but Claudio soon reassured us and we had a great time in Palermo including Saturday evening in the market square close by which came alive with little bars, barbecues and restaurants .
