Hôtel les Echevins

Alles zeer netjes , vriendelijke ontvangst, zeer behulpzaam , mooi gerestaureerd binnen ,een 17de eeuws gebouw , kamer heel sober ,gesloten garage aan overkant ,gezellige ontbijtruimte , buitenkant typisch zuid Frankrijk.

Very clean hotel, service is very good. Staff was very helpful, i was late check in around 00:30 at night, the staff gave me very clear direction to get in. The town was a bit weird but i havent walked around

Good location near historic centre (and near Mairie - my reason for being there was a wedding), simple but very clean room. Very friendly desk staff. Parking available but in a garage over the road and someone from the hotel has to come with you to open up, not a problem, close and no delay in their attending when we used it. A negative was the shower, where either the pressure was too feeble or possibly there were limescale problems but the rain shower head was too feeble but luckily there was a second traditional head and that was ok. Also the wifi internet connection was not working and at the desk they said it was due to too many people using it, it worked in the morning so it may just have been temporarily down. Not luxury but good value the price.

We were looking for a hotel at the last minute to tour around Arles, Baux and perhaps St Remy but didn't want to break the bank. Hotel des Echevins had availability at a good price (80 euro vs the 150-600 euro we were seeing in the area,) so we tried it. The common areas look quite nice. The entry and staircase are beautiful (just like the photos.) There is a lift to get to the rooms. The receptionist spoke French and English, was helpful and polite. Free parking can be found 'on the street,' but it's very full and frustrating driving around. Good news! The hotel has a safe garage right across the street for 5 euro--the receptionist went with us to guide us to and let us into the garage. The room (we did have a superior) was quite large with a comfortable bed. The decor was a bit sparse and the bedspreads not quite as bright as the online photos, but perfectly servicable. The walls are thinner than I expected so you may hear your neighbors, but we were there for one night so we didn't mind. The room had a large shower with a rain head and no issue with the water pressure. The hotel does a 10 euro breakfast (a bit expensive, but good): coffee, tea, orange juice, baguette, croissant, jams, yogurt, pancakes, cereal, ham, salami, cheese and they have a vat of boiling water for you to boil your own egg. The Echevins doesn't have an evening restaurant, but directed us to The Mistral, next door. The food was quite nice an worth the stop. This restaurant could do with playing music during the evening hour and periodically it seemed "bathroom smell" would waft into the dining area (which is strange because the bathrooms are spotless.) I think perhaps they have rooms/sinks/toilets that don't get used a lot so the traps start to smell. This restaurant and the hotel could do with running water in all the rooms to help prevent this problem. Wifi worked well in our 2nd floor room. I'm told signal strength decays the higher you go. As a bonus the town of Tarascon has a lovely castle 800m down the street from the hotel to tour. There's also a fashion textile museum in town. I didn't feel unsafe in Tarascon, but, full disclosure, there are young men loitering on the streets periodically looking dodgy. It's a small town. Perhaps that's the "night out?" This hotel was totally worth the stop and priced right for what it offers. Don't expect the moon, but the bed's comfortable.

Très bon accueil, personnel sympathique. L'hôtel est situé sur le bord de la vieille ville. La chambre donnant sur la vieille ville était calme. Pas de climatisation pour cette chambre standard.

Hôtel de qualité,joli cadre, très bon accueil mais pdj peut être un peu cher pour la qualité des produits proposés.

The day time staff - owner at the front door desk is amazing. Gives brilliant tips and can really make your trip Very basic rooms and facilities but in a great spot if you plan to be out and about, good cheap accom. One disappointment was the feature of 'parking' but it's just street parking and can be quite hit and miss. Or you can pay for overnight parking as an extra.

Tout s'est bien passé On peut seulement regretter que le petit déjeuner ne soit servi que jusqu'à 10h00 (même le week end)
