Hotel Aquila D'Oro Desenzano

Very helpful staff, lovely views, good breakfast,good service

Hotel was inbetween sirmione and Desenzano about a 45 min walk to both towns. Buses were erractic so we ended up doing a lot of walking. Also very few taxis which were very expensive.

Beautiful position with views of the lake Big comfortable rooms and great bathroom. Breakfast on the terrace. Dinner was good as well as we ate in the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful and loads of parking on site

We felt like the staff always brushed us off as we aren’t Italian, especially in the restaurant. The day we arrived we phoned reception and asked for their help to book us a taxi as Ubers were unavailable and roads were closed due to an event, however we were told they were unable too. This continued once we checked in as we were then told they couldn’t book us a taxi to Gardaland from the hotel. The room was nice however we found a brown stain on our sheets and the hairdryer started burning up after being on for 5 seconds. The location was also poor as it was in between Desenzano and Sirimone and not easy to get to town. Overall we felt the staff were unhelpful and our stay was disappointing. Not worth the money.

Die Betten sind ziemlich hart, die Zimmer ohne Seeblick liegen an einer lauten Straße.
