Is my go to hotel in Lipari every time I visit.

I don’t like the cobble stone main street. pulling a suitcase from the aliscafo on that street kills my arms.

great location; walkable to everything. the staff was super sweet and accommodating

I didn’t love the older style of the rooms but everything was clean and quite spacious

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We were given a studio which was spacious and had a little kitchenette, equipped with kitchen tools. The room and the bathroom were very clean. I didn’t hear any of the noise of the street that other reviewers complained about, but then it was low season. It’s located very convenient on the streets where all the restaurants and shops are, about 5 min walk to both of the ports. Since our ferry left at 6pm on our check out day, the owner was nice enough to let us keep the room until that time at no extra charge. Would stay again!

We booked initially for one night and ended up staying for four. Recommended by a local proprietor as we walked the streets of Lipari on a hot September day looking for holiday accommodation. A great hotel, the apartment was clean, stylishly furnished and catered for our every need. The unexpected bonus was the small kitchenette and fridge so we could have a cuppa in bed before breakfast and cook our own meals to make a change from eating out. The apartment was at the back of the hotel and looked out over an archeological site, great views and very tranquil. The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome even though our Sicilian/Italian is very basic. Antonio the barman was very engaging and helpful.

This place was outstanding in every way. It is prime location and the staff were superb. Antonio served us breakfast in the garden every morning. He makes the best cappucino and he was most helpful with anything we needed. Patrizia was our proprietor and she was very kind. The rooms were large and furnished with beautiful antiques. The bathroom was also spacious and the air conditioning worked very well. My. Friends and I were amazed about everything in this hotel. It could not have been more perfect. One of my favorite places to b stay in all mid my travels to italy.

We spent 5 nights here using our time to hike in Lipari and Aeolian Islands. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a refrigerator (some rooms have kitchens). We had a welcoming terrace overlooking Via Vittorio Emanuele so some street noise and during the day noise from a across the street remodel but no problems sleeping. We found breakfast delightful with a wide range of sweet and savory items. Antonio insured that our breakfast had everything we wanted and he also made delicious cappacini each morning. He and the staff always greeted us with a smile and a sincere buon giorno! Location is excellent---easy walk from the ferries and buses. Numerous quality restaurants and pasticcerie are within 100 meters. In our 3 weeks in Sicily and Italy this was one of our favoite places. We hope to return.

Our room (41 with kitchen area) grew on me over our four nights here. Initial thoughts were that it was very dark. But learn to throw open the shutters on the three windows to let as much light in as possible. Small hotel in an old building (c 15 rooms on three floors) on main street- our room was quiet as it was at the back (looking over an archaeological area). Other than deckchairs on roof, no other facilities apart from breakfast in morning (was just OK - rolls on second morning were left overs from day before and pieces of watermelon came from slices of watermelon available on first day - on third day, the fresh fruit was too hard to eat (peaches) - not great quality either). Room was fine - good cleanliness; good wi-fi; usual Italian hard bed which I like at one end of room; fair enough storage space; and bathroom, at opposite end from bed, was fine (though less than lukewarm shower on first day). Kitchen area in middle of room with table & chairs; sink with washing -up liquid, etc.; fridge (note that electricity turns off when you leave room so need to be careful what you keep in fridge); and four-ring gas cooker (which we didn't use - there are saucepans). We just used the kitchen for having rolls & fruit for tea a couple of nights, which worked well - there's the basics, including plates, knives, chopping board, bottle opener, etc., but no kettle (not good for us British!).

Stayed here 2 nights - supposed to be 3 but missed last ferry from Milazzo so had to forfeit a night. Happy with the accomodation which was spacious, well furnished and well decorated. Our 2nd floor room fronted the main street (via v. emanuele) so there was quite a bit of street noise early and late. Breakfast was reasonably good - nice to sit in the courtyard although bad weather kept us inside on one of our days. Also used the terrace on the top floor to sip a glass of wine while the sun went down over the hills. Lipari has plenty to offer even on a wet day (museum is excellent) and Alberghiero Eolie was a good base. No problem recommending it to anyone - try get a room at the rear if street noise is a problem for you.
