San Marco Holidays

This is a gem of a place, that is perfectly placed, just outside the walls of Lucca (5-10 minute walk) in a quiet suburban area. The photos do not do it justice, it is much nicer than it looks on Booking.com (unusual, I know). I am so glad I booked here as the beautifully presented, clean pool and loungers was a greatly appreciated blessing after a day of sight seeing. The spacious room was super modern and the kitchen area was well equipped. I especially loved the Nespresso machine and free coffee pods that were provided and topped up on request. The fridge was full of water and other beverages for every taste at cost price (also unusual). The spacious bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent. Towels and bedding changes on request, rather than daily , which I appreciated as I am all for eco friendly measures and find daily changes unnecessary and wasteful. I also loved that I could breakfast and have a cheeky glass of wine in the evenings on my balcony. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was especially grateful when I had a very early train to catch and was unable to get a taxi (my fault, I should have booked) and they gave me a lift to the train station (you can walk it, in about 30 mins, through the city however, I have a disability so needed a taxi) All in all I can highly recommend this place and will return, next time in am in Lucca - thank you

The host was lovely, they both couldn’t have offered to more! Lovely clean property- the photos really don’t capture how lovely it is kept! Very close distance to Lucca city walls and to vineyards and lots of local foods spots. This was the highlight of our two week trip around Italy

We have been to this hotel a few times and love everything about it. Great location with a bakery and pizza take away just across the road.

Il monolocake è nuovo è pulitissimo. La piscina è curata e calda. La Signora alla ricezione è gentilissima.

Locatie was top, maar een kleine wandeling naar het centrum. Appartement met tuintje was fijn om buiten te kunnen zitten. Appartement zelf was van alle gemakken voorzien, keurige keuken en apparatuur. Bed en badkamer voorzien van linnengoed, bed was opgemaakt toen we aankwamen. Extraatjes als zeep en koffie waren een verrassing. Erge vriendelijke eigenaren, zeer behulpzaam. En het zwembad was de kers op de taart!

Niets, raad het zeer aan.
