Hotel Vistabella

This hotel is sensational, though not so modern, it has the most friendly staff just wanting to make your stay the best. The views were nothing short of spectacular, the masseuse was one of the better to found in a hotel spa, and the wine list (and cellar) was extensive enough for all those that love good wine. Food, again excellent though not so modern. Oskar made my stay so special but sorting out special local restaurants etc.

Two great, very quiet, beaches either side, both with nice restaurants, and the hotel, on cliffs between them, is the perfect setting. Fantastic seafood platter in their Mila restaurant, paired with the perfect view. All that was missing was an outdoor pool, but on a short stay we didn't mind.

The service in the hotel is exceptional. Everyone in the hotel is trying to make your stay perfect, easy and enjoyable. However, the hotel itself is far from being 5 star hotel. No outdoor pool. Need to pay money to get water. No walk-in shower. Breakfast is just ok, but breakfasts in 4 star hotels in Barcelona and Begur were way better. Hot and vegetable options are very limited. Almost no area to relax on the hotel property.

The hotel was fabulous. We had a sea view room and the views were amazing. The staff, with the exception of Alejandro who was most unwelcoming, were delightful. The breakfast was good and the cleanliness excellent. Sadly though, we won't be returning as having eaten twice in both restaurants we were shocked at the poor quality of the food. The calamari was frozen supermarket stuff not fresh as we had been having in the most ordinary restaurants in Roses. My steak was served on a pile of the cheapest bagged salad you get in supermarkets. The food was never hot. We stayed for 8 nights and after the complimentary 2 small bottles of water and 2 coffee pods we had to purchase anymore we required. Not great for a pricey hotel.

We stayed here for my birthday and it could not have been a better choice. The staff are WONDERFUL. They decorated the room so nicely which was a delightful surprise. The valets and the front desk staff were so helpful and accommodating. The onsite restaurants were also delicious and the view from the balcony was out of this world. Would love to come back to this amazing property someday!
