Hotel Juan Francisco

The gentleman who appeared to be in charge was pleasant. One of the women who served drinks and food in the bar was not pleasant. She was visibly annoyed that I was unable to speak to her in Spanish. She was aware on my first day there that I was non-Spanish speaking. On my second day, she spoke to me in Spanish again when I ordered a meal. I don't know why when she knew from our first meeting that I can't speak Spanish. Not all travelers are able to speak a foreign language. When I was checking out, the gentleman who appeared to be in charge presented me with a bill - one of the charges was for my room and the other charge for 14 Euros was for the meal I had in the bar on my first day. I clearly remember paying a woman 14 Euros for this meal - I don't know why this server did not note that I had paid her/the hotel 14 Euros. Take this as a reminder to ask for a receipt every time something is paid for by cash. The gentleman removed the 14 Euros charge when I said to him "I had paid cash" for my meal.

This is not the hotel's fault but rather a point to be aware of - leaving the town is by public bus. The bus stop is reached on foot on an extremely narrow and bumpy path in at least 20 minutes (with a suitcase and gear). It is quite a struggle to get from the hotel to the nearest bus stop.

La vue est magnifique sur la terrasse, et l'hôtel est très bien situé dans cette petite ville. C'était vraiment un établissement charmant, et qui hébergeait la vie des locaux aussi (ils venaient sur la terrasse très souvent). On est vraiment loin d'un hôtel pour touristes !

Pas de frigo dans les chambre : c'est bien dommage si vous voulez toujours avoir une bouteille froide avant de partir à l'aventure dans les rues chaudes.

Tutto: un albergo semplice ma dotato di tutto quello che può servire. Buona la colazione, molto bella la terrazza dove si può cenare su prenotazione (se si è ospiti dell'hotel c'è la possibilità di un menù più limitato a un ottimo prezzo). Forse in alta stagione conviene chiedere una stanza che non dia sulla terrazza, se ci si vuole alzare presto per andare a camminare. Per noi non c'è stato nessun problema perché al massimo alle 23 c'era silenzio. Molto gentili e disponibili le persone che gestiscono l'hotel. C'è un parcheggio a disposizione, che può essere un po' pieno.
