Hotel Scaligero

Not the warmest of welcomes but glad of the parking and air conditioning. Rooms large and clean as was the rest of the hotel. good evening meal but poor choice of wines in the restaurant. Over all a pleasant stay but marked down because of the welcome.

The good points are the staff helped us in the middle of the night to find refuge during our much delayed trip to Venice. They answered our call at the gates, and directed us to the underground parking so that our three little ones would be safe and warm, and easily transported to our rooms. Their kindness to our family overcomes their totally un appealing hotel atmosphere. The building was completely surrounded by a high wall and locked gates. Our room was clean , but drab. The only ornament on the dull dark beige walls was a single crucifix hanging dramatically. There was a single cot and a double bed , a desk with free wifi that didn't work well, and long, heavy drapes. The bathroom was large, with a shower, and numerous towels, but no amenities ,except soap.Breakfast was sparce to say the least, and the morning desk staff was not nearly as pleasant . However, I would recommend this hotel for their hospitality and warmth towards a lost family. That was more important than trendy furnishings and artwork!

Bed a bit noisy, but didn't bother us. Breakfast was poor. Not much variety. For example no chocolate cereals, no toasted bread, no eggs, only one type of cheese and ham. Not so much food left even if people were coming still. Customers should find choice at any breakfast time. We were in one of the farthest room so WIFI was not so strong: working but slow. Receptionist very kind. He welcomed us late at night. He suggested places to visit around. Very good customer relation. Room is very big, same for the bathroom. All is well kept and clean. Free private parking. Hot drinks for breakfast are made by the bar and not with an automatic machine. Good for the taste, but you need to ask each time.

Bra hotel med engelsktalande personal. hotellet är bra om man vill ta dagsturer till exempelvis Bardolino, Verona, Caneva vattenland eller besöka någon av de många vingårdarna. Hotellet har en bra restaurang under sig. Det är nära till en rätt stor affär samt nära tankmöjligheter. På minussidan var att wi-fi var något svajigt.

Simple, yet clean and well looked after hotel. No frills, but value for money, especially given the proximity of Verona and much more expensive hotels. The restaurant (pizzeria) is also very good and I would definetly recommend eating here. There is a free underground parking, good service (English spoken) and costs are very reasonable indeed.

My family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights. The reception staff were great and all of our requests and needs were met. The hotel is modern with great Wi-Fi, and location is in residential area, approximately close to Verona city center, 10 minutes from Lake Garda, but could be double-time or more when you factor in heavy traffic during peak vacation season and excessive bottle-necking to get through slow inefficient automated toll booths. The hotel room was very basic with unappealing furniture, one double bed and two single beds crammed into a lackluster room with no art work on the walls. The TV which had hundreds of cable channels but not one English Channel (no CNN or BBC) was of no use to us. The bathroom was sufficient but no shampoo or lotion. The main drawbacks were the dingy towels/hand and face cloths and the cleaning staff was below average - trash cans were not emptied and bedroom and bathroom floors were not swept or mopped during daily service. The breakfast was inadequate, no boiled eggs, one type of deli ham, cheese a couple of types of bread, lack of plates and jellies/jams and the hotel restaurant only had one English menu which required prior reservations for some traditional dishes commonly available in the region.

This is a very nice place to stay & eat. The service is excellent, rooms are large and nice, equipped with fridge and LCD TV and, most important, very clean! Beds are very confortable, food is great and prices are reasonable. I fully recommend it.

Staff is very pleasant, though not good enough in English. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good enough for 3-star hotel. Location is very good to explore Garda Lake, Verona. Quite.
