there are a lot of hidden costs when staying at the property. we were charged coperchio even though we were guests staying at the accomodation every time we had dinner.

the owners of the property are very kind and welcoming. they were very helpful in accommodating our late night arrival to the property and sent us instructions from the highway because there were road closures and google maps is unreliable in this part of the countryside. we loved hearing about and understanding the history of the property. the courtyard is a giant and beautiful and the terrace where you can have breakfast or enjoy wine has a beautiful view of the mountains and countryside. the breakfast offered is a great value and high quality with both sweet and savory options. and the dinner we had on saturday during our stay was simple and yummy and prepared with fresh local seasonal ingredients. i especially appreciated how accommodating they were to my vegan plant-based diet.

We stayed just for two nights for a short honeymoon. Everything was magical and entire family is so welcoming that it made us wanting to stay. In any case we will return!

The place was beautiful and very authentic. They served good italien food. Nice location to discover other villages around, to hike but also rest by the pool.

The furniture, decoration and bathrooms could be renewed

We had a great stay at San Giorgio with our 2-year old in one of the 2-bedroom apartments. The building is beautifully restored, and there's an active farm with animals next to it. The rooms are a bit dated, although the bathroom was of a more recent date. The pool is very large with ample room. The views from the restaurant's terrace are simply breathtaking. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the homecooked meals in the evening, which are served at 8 pm. Staff were generally friendly and welcoming. Our daughter loved the playground. We did a few hikes in Parco delle Madonie (~40-45 mins drive to the nearest trailheads) and visited charming Petralia Sottana and Petralia Soprana.

The WiFi is not usable outside the common area, and even there it's quite slow. Even though there's a lot of room on the restaurant's terrace and by the pool, a place to sit right outside the apartment would have been nice. Sometimes staff seemed rushed. The biggest asset, the remoteness of this place, is also a drawback, as the nearest villages are at a 25-30 mins drive. As one previous commenter noted - and this is unrelated to San Giorgio - it's necessary in this area to use common sense and not only rely on Google Maps, which sometimes routes through roads only accessible with 4WD.

Well sized spotlessly clean rooms and tasty breakfast. The views are awesome from the property, very tranquil and serene setting away from it all. The awesome huge pool is just great, and the largest pool we ever were treated with on a holiday. You have ample free parking and when loading and unloading luggage you can park directly in front of your room which has a private entrance in the huge, beautiful courtyard. The owner is a very courteous and cultured person, gives great advice and is a pleasure to talk to.

The location is relatively remote and the roads in the area are not good - the gps will often get confused in these areas, though this technically isn't a real fault of the property, and is a pervasive problem throughout all of Sicily. Strongly consider renting an SUV. The room unfortunately does not have a window, the only source of natural light is the door, but the glass pane is fixed and cannot be opened. Our room had a lovely wooden beamed ceiling, but unfortunately this in itself presented two problems, one being that the room upstairs was used (we think) for storage by staff and when we had a rest in the afternoon and still asleep in the morning we would be woken up from the noises of footsteps. Also, there is a slight problem with woodlice, we found wood dust residues on the bedsheets and sometimes at night we could actually hear them munching away the wood. The breakfast, though good has a rather short and late sitting between 0830-0930, which is rather restrictive. It is not included in the price and at 10 Euro per person is relatively expensive.

I stayed with my husband for 5 days in our honeymoon week at Antico Feudo. It was the perfect choice because it was quiet and beautiful. Like in a novel, very inspiring and romantic. The surroundings are amazing! Food for your thoughts and soul. 🙏🏻 The hosts were especially kind and helpful. The food we ate there was indeed tasty - the chef made the best risotto ever!❤️ We would love to come back with our children to repet the experience, spend time at the beautiful quiet pool with them, and live the whole Antico Romantico Feudo once again.
