Hotel La Luna

The host at check out went above and beyond to make sure I got to the train station on time. He called a taxi and when they didn't arrive he carried my luggage to the exit to the wall.

The host at checkin was very rude. When I told her I was having trouble locking my door she was very frustrated with having to help me. They also did not turn the air conditioners or fans on and said it was not warm enough to do so. However, my room was very warm without any air circulation. They told me to open the windows and not only did I have to listen to outside noise while trying to sleep but I woke up with multiple bug bites.

The location is excellent, situated in the heart of Lucca's old town, right next to Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, surrounded by restaurants and shops. The hotel facilities are good, very tidy and clean, the rooms are very quiet, the staff are friendly and welcoming, good breakfast.

The hotel signage was unclear, the front desk and the hotel entrance were not the same, and there was a lack of directions. when checking out, I suggested them to post a sign outside the building entrance informing guests where to check in; I don't know if they made that arrangement.
