Hotel La Luna

Hervorragende Lage in der Altstadt von Lucca. Die Anfahrt zum Hotel durch die aktive ZTL war etwas abenteuerlich, weil man gefühlt eine Fußgängerzone befährt. Aber ich wurde telefonisch bis zum Hotel gelotst. Diese Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit des Hotelpersonals ist ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück hält für jede Vorliebe etwas bereit. Und alles im Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt.

I dislike writing bad reviews, but I would avoid this hotel for several reasons.  I was mislead into thinking I had booked a Junior Suite. I was given a large room. I would have been happy with this had that been what I reserved. I paid extra for a suite that I didn't get!!!!  This has, sadly, happened to other people. Check reviews from everywhere when booking. This was one room not a suite and look up the definition of suite. The listing said: Landmark view/city view/innercourtyard view as you can see from my photos, that is laughable. There isn't a nice view and one of the 2 windows is in the bathroom! Sofa/sofa bed -  as you can see from my photos there was no sofa. Fold up bed - no fold up bed Sitting area - there was no sitting area. I have other photos but could only attach 4 The claim that the entire unit is wheelchair assessable and upper floors are reached by elevator is incorrect. I made sure I booked an accessible room as I was recovering from an illness but there was no elevator, just steep stairs. There is no way a person with a wheelchair could have used this room. The photo shows the stairs going to my room number 122. There are other steep stairs going to further floors. Be aware that there are 2 buildings. One has an elevator and one does not. They do not tell you that you don't have an elevator when you book. The breakfast was ok but they were running out of things constantly. The breakfast room was crowded with people and the poor people refilling everything couldn't keep up. I felt sorry for them. If you go very early for breakfast it is less of a problem. You have to hard boil your own eggs, but the rest of the selection is fine when it's actually in stock. Room is very dated and furniture old. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if I would have been given the Junior Suite that I reserved. This hotel would be good for you if you do not mind getting a room other than the one you booked.

Mi è piaciuta la posizione centralissima e il parcheggio per l'auto vicino. Dall'albergo ci hanno guidato al telefono da porta S.Maria fino al parcheggio trovato senza problemi.
