"Excellent"

8.0

Arrived at accommodation within 30 minutes of booking online. They appeared a bit surprised but were very gracious. This is a lovely property In a beautiful setting and well cared for. The room was large and had a spectacular view over the terrace and pool with the Tuscan countryside and the walled town of San Gimignano in the background. It was October and cool so I did niot use the large beautiful pool. One could easily walk to the walled town of San Gimignano. A cold breakfast buffet was provided - a large selection of breads and cakes. I would highly recommend this property

"The most beautiful views"

8.0

The highlight for us of the B&B Ponte a Nappo were the pool and garden area and the amazing views of San Gimignano and Tuscan countryside, its just beautiful. It is in a peaceful and quiet countryside setting yet close to town. We didn't attempt the walk into San Gimingnano along the dirt track as it was hot and dusty, however we did park the car at the top of the track and walk the further 5-10 minutes on proper pavements! Our room Azzurro, was smaller than some and south facing so had to keep curtains closed all day. Ask for a room overlooking the pool, they're larger and have views of the city. Breakfast was ok, typical Italian fare but they will cook you eggs at a small extra charge. Had a tuna salad lunch and it was delicious and very good value. Public areas are restricted to your room and the pool/garden area - it felt a little external. Carla is a delightful lady and a most friendly host, though she speaks little English. Service generally was okay if a little quirky. Would we stay here again? - yes - in a heartbeat! The location, the peace and quiet of the pool and garden area, and the absolutely stupendous views are unbeatable.

"It was adequate, with very lovely views."

6.0

The hotel was adequate for what we were after. It's close to the town (20 mins by foot) and had very beautiful views! The pool with the surrounding countryside are very picturesque. Extra charges apply for many things (pool towels, heating, cooling etc) and there was no sign of pool bar service etc. No one was overly friendly. They could improve on their service in making guests feel more welcome.

"Fantastico!"

10.0

Beautiful B&B!!! The views are right out of a painting. The room was HUGE with a living room and a kitchenette. We did not use all the space. It felt like a very nice apartment. It's a very nice family owned business. The pool was wonderful and crystal clear. The hammocks were my favorite and I enjoyed laying there reading a book for down time. Absolutely lovely. When we did arrive, Siri and google maps told us the wrong location so just make sure you keep driving down the gravel road and you'll get there. Also getting to San Gimignano is a 10-15 uphill walk on gravel. It is slightly challenging but not a deal breaker by any means. You'll be happy you stayed outside of the walls considering tourists completely mob the little town during peak season.

"Peaceful and somewhat isolated."

8.0

10 Min walk uphill (and down back) on a dirt road to San Gimignano. Beautiful views of San Gimigano outside the back by the pool. Mornings and sometimes evenings the common/breakfast area is open with a fire. We where there end of December. Carla and family are very friendly and made you feel very welcome. We could not get WiFi in the apartment room, but could just outside the door.

"A Gem!"

8.0

Ponte a Nappo was such a delight - we LOVED the location, and the view was priceless. We toured Florence and Sienna, so it was the perfect distance from each. We loved coming home at the end of the day - took a swim in the beautiful pool, and then headed up to San Gimignano for dinner. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Family run, so it was super friendly. The views are amazing with the city above us, and rolling hills with olive groves and grape orchards - you can see forever!
